[ The video cuts on to a simple shot of a serious looking teenage boy. Nothing looks that off about him, but anyone paying close attention might notice how tense he looks. ]

Has anyone seen Jinseok Jin recently?

[ Nothing weird about this video here!

Except... maybe a little weird if you've spoken to Junseo before, and noticed that his demeanor is completely off from how it usually is. ]

[Somehow, Toby recognises that name—Jinseok Jin is one of the most beautiful people in the world, isn't he? Surely he must be, especially for Toby to somehow know who he is without ever having met him—that he knows of, anyway.

Whatever. There's definitely something familiar about that name.]

Maybe I have, maybe I haven't. The name definitely seems familiar. Why are you looking? Is he someone important?

[Is he as beautiful as Toby keeps thinking he is?]

[ On a scale of one to ten how disappointing would it be to find out that beautiful sounding name is a six year old boy right now?

Junseo hesitates to ask a question like that. There's nothing malicious about it, but he's not exactly ready to trust anyone here. It was probably a mistake to ask the network a question like this at all, but hindsight is 20:20, and even if Junseo's got a lot more on him in terms of years? Age hasn't made him miraculously intelligent.

It has made him a smoother liar, however. ]

[Being that Toby's been reverted to his self back from the eighties, he doesn't actually know who Jinseok Jin is. So it'd probably be a two on the one to ten scale of disappointment because Toby would mostly find it laughable and be wondering what got this "one of the most beautiful people in the world" idea into his head in the first place.]

Really? And is it urgent business, or something that can stand to wait?

[ He screams bloody murder when shop keepers don't give him the candy he wants too, the idea is truly a mystery. ]

It's urgent.

[ Making sure Jinseok isn't dead is always urgent. ]

[If he had the opportunity to see it, Toby would definitely find that hilarious.]

Is there some sort of reward for finding him? I mean, what would you give if someone did happen to know where he is?

[Not that anyone could tell from Toby's tone of voice that he actually hasn't seen Jinseok. At this point, he's just curious and messing around.]

[ He won't try to bash your head open on a brick wall for keeping information from him?!

... What do you mean that's not a reward? That's totally a reward! ]

Do you know where hyung is?

[ Junseo doesn't even try not to sound frantic now, he also doesn't try to not sound threatening. In fact, one might say he is very purposely trying to sound threatening at the moment! Woah! ]

[VAMPIRE FIGHT!]

What if I do?

[ Vampire fight!!!!!!

Actually, he became a vampire only to have this plot strip him of all his cool vampire powers, so this would be a very unfair fight. Not that it would keep Junseo from having it. He is nothing if not an idiot. ]

Tell me where he is?

[ It's raised at the end like a question, but there's a definite edge in his voice now. ]

[Not that he knows Junseo's age or even cares; not that he even knows or actually recognises Junseo (though there is something oddly familiar about him). But he doesn't think Junseo knows him, either, and it probably follows that Junseo wouldn't know where to look.]

Make it faster for me. Tell me where you are.

[ Still a threat, and not a great one. Like this guy is really gonna hand over that info right now. ]

[Yeah, no. Because Toby isn't stupid.]

Seeing you try means I shouldn't have to tell you.

[ He stares at the screen for a few seconds, but every second is another second he doesn't know where Jinseok is, so he's cutting the feed to try and hunt Toby down.

It's gonna be a lot harder with dull human senses :( Bummer. ]

[All the while, Toby is completely unworried and unconcerned, and it's hard to say whether he'll remember or even believe this happened when he returns to normal.]

[ Okay. So this is just off. Kanaya can't put her finger on exactly what, but there is definitely something wrong in Junseo's whole manner. He just...doesn't seem like him. ]

Is he missing?

[ He sure seems less friendly than normal for one. There's a sharp look in his eyes though... relatively speaking. I mean, it's sharper than regular Junseo's looks, but most of the time he looks like a glazed over dope so that's not hard. ]

No...

[ Hesitant pause. ]

Maybe?

[ Ah, there we go. That sounds more like regular Junseo. ]

I haven't seen him in awhile.

[ It's the fact that he's actually paying attention, when she thinks about it, that really feels like she's almost talking to a different person. Something must be very wrong, possibly with Jinseok. ]

Well, let's retrace your steps then. Where was he last?

[ The biggest giveaway of all! Junseo actually being able to focus.

He's quiet for a moment. ]

His apartment?

[ He sounds uncertain. All his memories here feel so hazy, he can't remember the last time he saw Jinseok in this world, and back in their world Jinseok hasn't left his side in years. ]

And he's not there anymore.

[ It isn't said as a question, she assumes it must be true, otherwise he wouldn't be asking. ] Did something happen between you two?

[ He hesitates as he tries to remember. It's so long ago. It's all so hazy. ]

I can't remember. Maybe?

[ Jinseok used to get angry at him a lot. He doesn't much anymore, but Jinseok is a very different person than he used to be too... ]

Maybe.

[ Well, so much for that momentary focus. ] Junseo, you seem desperate enough to find him that you've addressed the network on the matter, but cagey enough with the details that we don't have any sort of starting point.

Something's going on that you aren't telling.

[ There's another moment of hesitation. He's become better at lying, but that doesn't mean he's a natural. He needs a moment to carefully comb over his words and pick out what he wants to say. ]

I haven't seen him in awhile.

[ This is true by his standards, but two hours is awhile by his standards these days. ]

[ She takes a deep breath, then lets it out in a huff. ]

Junseo, I need more than that. Concrete information. You need to tell me what's going on.

[ He shakes his head slowly. ]

I don't have any. I can't remember how long its been...

Not even a rough idea? A few months, maybe?

[ Hesitates. ]

I haven't been here for awhile.

You...don't look older enough for it to have been long enough to forget. Unless you've forgotten a lot of things, somehow.

[ He's quiet for a moment, trying to decide how to respond, before nodding slowly. ]

Uh-huh... I did.

So. We're talking years, then? [ Years in which he has not apparently aged a day. ] Or possibly amnesia?

[ Many, many, many years. ]

No, not amnesia. Just awhile. I didn't really keep track of how long.

Then, uh. Why don't you look any older?

Yeah...

[ He's not explaining that one... ]

[ Come on Junseo, that's no kind of answer! ]

I guess I just don't.

Humans don't generally "just" stop aging, Junseo. Especially when they look as young as you still do.

I don't think that applies to someone who looks exactly as he did when he was fifteen. I wouldn't even have known you were older, if you hadn't said anything!
