I'm looking for a way to temporarily suppress or nullify my powers. The government, understandably, isn't particularly willing to give out suppressors at will.

Does anyone know someone I could talk to for this?

Um, well, it's... more that I'm trying to answer a question that's been bothering me, and I can't do that as long as I have my powers active. So I'd like to turn them off, just for a bit.

Can Hazel do that?

Yeah, she can. I mean, I'm not saying she will, and even if she does, you're probably gonna have to state your case and jump through hoops because she loves to give people a hard time, but then again she could surprise you!

What question are ya hoping to answer, anyway? If you don't think I'm being too nosy by asking.

[She very obviously hesitates for a few moments before answering.] I need to find out... something that happened back home, and I don't have a memory of it that I can recall.

I'm hoping someone with the right powers can look into my memory, but in order to do that, I can't have my powers, because they block that sort of thing.

[Look into her memory? That makes Josuke automatically think of Tetsuo, but knowing what the other teen has been through the past few months and how rough he can sometimes still be with his ability, he opts not to volunteer the name.]

Alright, well...I can talk to Hazel about it if ya want, and if you can't find someone to help with the memory thing, I might be able to turn up someone if I ask around. Not gonna do that unless you want me to, though...so it's your call.

Could you? I think I know someone who can look into my memories, but only if my powers are neutralized first. I need to find someone who can do that.

[A pause.] How can Hazel turn mine off, if I can ask?

I think it's a proximity sorta thing, like...she controls it, and if she's close enough to you then... [He makes a whooshing noise.] That's it, cut off.

If it's anything more specific than that...you're gonna have to ask her. Not my power an' all, you know?

[There's a little while before she responds.] How... near me does she have to be?

Because, um, it's very private, what might come out. And also... I'm concerned I might hurt someone.

She can keep her distance, several feet I think. I'm not sure what kinda limits she has, but it's not like she's gotta stand on top of you to pull it off.

[Though of course she'd want to, because it's Hazel they're talking about here.]

You mean like give her a heads up? I don't think she'd mind either way, but I can do that if it'd make it easier for you to talk with her afterwards.

Maybe... I should probably be the one to actually ask her, though. She'd be doing me enough of a favor that... it'd be important for me to do it, I think.
