It feels a little strange, coming on the network to write an entry. I comment around a lot and I've never had a problem with writing up a case, but I've never really had anything to say about myself. Nothing really ever happens to me these days.

But as some of you probably know already, Sherlock Holmes and Mary Watson were ported out a while back. I think it's safe to say it isn't just a temporary thing this time. They're gone and I think it's time to move on.

I've been looking at jobs in other cities, but I have no idea what it's like to actually live in one of them. Heropa is a pretty small place compared to the rest of America. So yeah, I have come on here for a bit of advice today: what do you think of where you live in this world? Would you recommend it?

Well, I'm certain Bruce Wayne and Ambassador Mitchell will agree with me in claiming De China in all its glory is something to see. I've visited occasionally. There's such beautiful explosions of colour in the night-time. The nightlife is something else.

Somehow, I doubt they'll throw themselves behind your little endorsement. I'm surprised there is a nightlife with you skulking about up there.

De Chima's quite pleasant. We're on first name basis with most of the local carry-out places.

That's good to hear. To be honest, I've been looking at De Chima the most. There's plenty of work up there. What's the weather like?

Warmer than what I'm used to, that's for sure. Barrayaran winters are fairly intense. I'm not sure we got any real snow at all his year.

It's the same for me. I mean while I'm still living here in Heropa. The humidity's unlike anything we ever get back home.

I've never heard of Barrayaran before. What counts as "real snow"?

Antartica is meant to be pretty great this time of year.

There's always Alaska if the other isn't a straight up yes.

I'd like to avoid those places if I can. Bad memories and all that. Plus my winter coat is back in London.

Funny, it sounds a lot like Grimsby. Okay, I can cross Maurtia Falls off my list of places to check out.

I've really liked Nonah. The people here . . . they're friendly. Not just toward imPorts, but to each other, too—people at stores greet each other by name, and neighbours stop and chat in the streets.

It wouldn't really be the right choice if you're looking for quiet, or privacy. Even the houses here are right downtown; you're always in the middle of things. But if you like helping people, and being part of a community . . . it's a good place.

No, I'm not looking for peace and quiet. Heropa is great, but I need a change of scenery. Spice things up a bit.

Nonah sounds like a lovely place. Have you been living there for very long?

Since I was ported in.

I was supposed to be assigned to Heropa, but it was back at the start of January . . . with everything that was happening, anyone who came in was directed out again.

Right, there was some funny stuff happening back then. Heropa is nice and everything, but a tad on the small side.

Have you come back since then? After all the trouble I mean?

Nonah is quite lovely, full of darling little shops and the nicest people. Quite a few wonderful bars, too!

That seems to be the general consensus about Nonah. I might pop around to see it for myself -- do you have a particular bar you'd recommend?

I'm quite particular about all my bars, but The Elephant Never Forgets is one of my very favorites. Just tell them Sadie sent you if you drop by, they all know me there!
