[ The person on the feed today is a young-looking girl who doesn't seem to be much older than about twelve, but looks can be deceiving - spoiler alert, everyone, she's 25. She's sitting under a tree with her legs stretched out in front of her, back against the trunk and a camera nestled in her lap. ]

Ah, hey! I'm new around these parts; I was brought here earlier today. Can't say I expected to be a victim of interdimensional kidnapping but life's full of surprises, I guess.

[ Chie doesn't seem particularly bothered by this, though. ]

Anyway, I have a few questions, but general newbie advice is appreciated too. What's the best place to buy cameras and equipment? I was handed a job as a forensic photographer, and I think I need more than just the camera I had with me if I'm going to create records of crime scenes and take pictures of dead bodies and stuff.

Also, what are some good places to see, and what dessert shops do you recommend? I particularly like parfait, by the way.

[It's near dinner time when Josuke trudges out of his room with a couple small bags of trash (the result of taking care of so many pets in such a tiny space and also being a teenage boy) and stops on his way to the kitchen the moment he spies someone new sitting in the living room. He glances to the front entry way and then back, one brow arching higher on his forehead than the other, and wonders momentarily if he forgot to lock the door or if this is some friend of Haise's that he doesn't know about.

He's been busy, alright? He hasn't checked the network yet!]

...uhhh, hey there.

Yo. [ Chie looks up when she hears the other, and raises her hand in greeting. ]

I'm your new roomie.

[unbreaker]

Seriously?

[Josuke starts to lift a hand in greeting and then stops, one bag rattling full of the junk he's collected. Great first impression...]

I mean, it's nice to meet you! I'm uh...just a sec.

[He disappears quickly into the kitchen to take a moment to empty and wash his hands before returning, a less disgruntled expression on his face this time.]

Sorry, about that. Name's Josuke! And you're...?

Call me Chie Hori, Josuke-kun. [ As in, use her full name - she prefers it that way because she's an odd person, but she doesn't mind if he sticks to just her surname or her first name. ]

Do you like pizza?

[unbreaker]

[He gives a sharp nod and then reclines against the door frame, arms folding over his chest.]

Chie Hori-san, got it.

[Wow, for a tiny person she sure is pretty proper! And a little unusual. Who asks about food literally two or three minutes after they first meet someone? But maybe she's hungry if she just got here, and...it'd probably be good manners of him, as the longest residing resident of the house, to give her a welcome gift of some kind, right?]

Yeah, pizza's pretty good. I could order some if you're hungry?

[And it's not like he had any other dinner plans, so it works out!]

Nah, I'm not. [ She shakes her head, hands idly playing with the camera hanging from around her neck. ]

You're in luck, though - you're not going to have to order pizza when I'm around. I can summon pizza, according to the file I was given.

[unbreaker]

Get out. You got pizza powers?

[...there's gotta be a catch.

Like, she's still gonna charge him or something. Or she can only summon one kind of pizza!

Josuke wanders closer and leans on the arm of the sofa, arms unfolding so he can point a finger at her.]

Have you tried it yet?

Of course I have. [ What kind of person would not test out their awesome pizza powers?

And to demonstrate, she claps her hands quickly - one, two, three times, and a pizza box spontaneously appears on the floor near her feet. It's plain white, without anything written on it. ]

[ When she hears someone come into the house, Brianna zips out of her bedroom to investigate. Enjoy this child carrying a roasted chicken leg in one hand and a giant knife in the other! ]

Who are you?

[ Chie stops, her gaze darting to the knife in the child's hand; she doesn't seem bothered or threatened by it, however. ]

Chie Hori, your new roommate.

[fayzedandconfused]

Oh.

[ Well, she puts the knife down, at least, and then takes a big bite of her chicken leg. What she says next might be hard to make out: ]

Welcome to our home, kid.

I'm twenty-five, actually. I'm too old to be a kid.

[fayzedandconfused]

No way.

[ Action ]

[ And Sasaki is at home, over the kitchen. He is currently preparing some strawberry shortcakes to offer to their neighbors because he thinks it's a great way of getting to know people (it hasn't gone wrong so far) and he is pretty distracted by that, but not enough to be startled when he hears the door closing ]

- Josuke? [ he will continue to focus on his cakes ] I'm over the kitchen.

[ Chie pauses when she hears he voice coming from the kitchen - it's familiar, sure, but she actually didn't see Kaneki in person that many times. So she can't tell who it's coming from, only that she's pretty damn sure she's heard it before.

The only way to find out is to wander over to the kitchen, and once she sees who it is she stops in the door, recognition flickering across her features. ]

...Hey.

[dualismum]

[ when there is an unfamiliar "hey", Sasaki pauses, turning his head to the door. that is definitively not Josuke. And he has no idea who that is. ]

Oh- I'm sorry, i thought you were someone else. [ obviously ]

Er... who are you? [ why are you inside his house??? did you get lost smol child? ]

Chie Hori. I'm going to live here.

[ oh good it's not a burglar. it wouldn't be wise to try to steal from a Police Officer's house - or imPort's house, really.

Sasaki reaches for a kitchen cloth to clean his hands ]

Welcome...! I'm sorry about this mess -

I'm Haise Sasaki. it's nice to meet you, Hori-chan! [ because you are clearly a child, you get "chan" ]

[ Chie gives him a look, a small frown appearing on her face. ]

...Okay, let's nip the cutesy honorifics in the bud, Sasaki-kun. I'm twenty-five.

I-I'm terribly sorry! [ Sasaki immediately bows his head ] You are even older than I am, I had no idea-

You've been missing out if you don't know what parfait is... [ Oh no, good thing Chie can fix that and introduce this poor unfortunate soul to parfait. ]

It's a frozen dessert made by layering ice cream and flavored gelatin in a tall glass, with whipped cream and fruit on top.

[Light laugh.] It must be if it's the first thing you're asking for. [Yeah. Let's ignore everything before the whole parfait request. Food is always a top priority.]

Ice cream and fruit and whip cream all together!? [Whatever gelatin is it sounds very good!] That sounds incredible! I just had what you call a milkshake that had ice cream and whip cream and a little red thing too. Will it look like that? What kind of flavors and fruit does it have?

It can have all sorts of different flavors! Chocolate, strawberry, coffee, etcetera. [ She could probably list at least a dozen more, but thankfully she refrains from doing exactly that. ]

It can have all kinds of fruit, too. Pineapple, mango, kiwi, banana... I've tried many different combinations.

[She'll sound impressed by it all, really. It's odd in her world to have so many options available.] That's amazing! It all sounds like there isn't a limit in ingredients to create a dessert like that one. It's really impressive how you know so much about it!

[She feels she may have found a true professional or even master in the field.]
