[The video feed crackles for a minute before it comes to life on a blonde-haired, green-eyed man. He seems calm, composed, sure of himself. Sure, he's a new face and the surroundings are obviously new, but if he's thrown by any of it, he's not showing it on his face.]

Hello. I'm Alan Scott. [He pauses, realizing that the name may not really mean something to the people here. Back home, he's well known - a public figure both as Alan Scott and Green Lantern, though very few people know that the two are one. He hopes to keep that situation the same here.] There's been plenty of these introductions over the past few hours, I know. Just in case, though, if Jay Garrick or Kendra Munoz-Saunders or Khalid Ben-Hassin are here - hey. I am too. Reach out. If those names are familiar to anyone, I'd appreciate you reaching out to me as well.

In the meantime, I'm in Heropa, working as a...decorative garden planner. [There's the briefest hint of a smirk to his face. All things considered, that's ironic.] That promises to be interesting.

If anyone here can suggest a few good places to get a drink, and suggest some of the more Wonder-friendly publications and news outlets, I'd appreciate it. Best to get familiar with one's new surroundings, right? [He pauses again and looks down at something, presumably notes that he's written out.] Right. Wonders. That's my world's term for what you call superheroes here. [It was the first clue that this world was very, very clearly different from his own. The other was this whole Cold War thing with the Russians. Back home, they dealt with aliens and alien gods. This seemed...retro, in comparison. Maybe that wasn't such a bad thing, though.]

So, right. Okay. That's it for now then. Thank you. And hey, if anyone needs a particularly lush, well-decorated garden, well...you know where to find me.

[For now, anyway. He hoped, eventually, to bring his media company to life here, if such a thing were possible.]

Jay Garrick? You mean that guy with the winged kettle helmet, right?

[Aren't confusion and multiple realities the greatest things, Jay?]

Winged kettle helmet? No. Jay doesn't wear one of those.

[He does wear a helmet back home, but Alan is about to out his friend as the Flash. Just in case he's around.]

No one's actually worn one of those in years.

[ Aren't they just the best? This is probably going to be one of the more interesting conversations in a while.]

I'd best throw this one my father gave to me away then. My name is Jay Garrick.

Can't say I'm really in the market for a garden right now but I do know a few bars around here.

A familiar face! That's good! Have you heard from Kendra or Khalid? [Way to assume this is your Jay, Alan.] Was it a family heirloom? I know we were never maybe as close as you wanted us to be, but I don't ever recall your father having given you one.

[ That sounds interesting, though he doesn't know either name. Don't worry, he's had experience with this.]

I see. Well. I don't know how to put this, but I got a lot of this when I arrived. I don't recognize those names. Everyone tells me I'm about half the age I should be too. So maybe not as familiar as you were hoping for. Some still call me "grandpa" but I'm not even 40 yet.

[Alan gives Jim a faint smile back. There's no flirtiness to his expression, but there is a warmth. There's no denying that the other man is ridiculously good looking, though.]

It's a pleasure, Jim. I'm not sure how well this garden designing thing is going to work out, but it'll be interesting to see what comes about from it.

You've been here for awhile, I take it?

[His tone is playful with a hint of sarcasm:]

What, they didn't decide to play on your strengths when assigning you that job?

Not too long. It's been...damn, it's been three months already I guess.

Mr. Scott!

I am, actually, in the need for a garden. [ Shut up, Shade. You can't hire ever old-timey hero. This isn't a collection. ]

But if I may -- even did your sort start calling yourselves something like "wonders"? [ Now he just looks pensive, and not pinch-faced, but certainly caution is written across his face.]

[ Barry is not even going to touch the Jay Garrick thing right now. It's good that he heard Kendra though. Because there's no way that this one can end badly for him. Well...minus maybe the fact that she's not Kendra Munoz-Saunders but hey, close enough. ]

I know a Kendra Saunders. She's not a Munoz-Saunders, but I don't— there's a limit on the Kendra Saunders who might know someone who knows Wonders. They're called metahumans where I'm from though. [ Is there a subtle way of checking if their Kendras both are Hawkgirl. ] Wonders is a nice name though, fitting for ones that like fly and stuff like that.

[ Barry just manages a tiny smile at the end of that. Please pick up on the subtle question there, Alan. ]

Funny, I'd say you're about twice the age you should be. The Jay I know is just about twenty years old. I'd say you're definitely not him, despite the name being the same.

Although the grandpa thing seems to be a little cold.

Oh, they did. [Alan smirks.] Just not in the way I would have expected them to.

Which I'm assuming is going to be a theme from here on out, if my new occupation is any indication.

[What.

After all the "you're so young" comments, it's a shocker. Then again considering all things, he shouldn't really be that surprised.]

You have got to be joking. You have literally just hurt my brain. But that's fine, it's curious. I mean. I'm quick to pick up on things. Should I assume this name twin is just as much?

[ Cisco's going to straight up pretend he doesn't know any Jay Garricks because apparently he doesn't anyway, screw that guy. ]

Munoz-Saunders? That's different.

[M's grinning from ear to ear the moment he turns on the feed, tickled by the idea of some universe calling people with superpowers "Wonders."]

I'm interested in a garden, but I don't have a yard. I don't even have a window. Is that going to be a problem?

[That's a safe enough answer, right? Not terribly obvious?]

I have to say, I've never really designed any gardens before, but I'm sure we could come up with a spectacular design together.

[Alan liked the finer things in life, sure, but it was Sam who'd had the impeccable taste and style.]

My sort? I'm not certain what you mean by that. [This was said completely straight-faced, as though he has nothing to hide.] Back home, they were called such in honor of our world's first hero - Wonder Woman.

It's possible that they're multiversal counterparts of each other. [He's already talked to a guy with the same name as his friend Jay, even if they're not the same exact person. It's possible that this was simply more of the same.]

Metahumans. It's an interesting term. It seems almost scientific in nature. [Interest fills Alan's eyes at that. Between himself, Kendra, Khalid, and Jay, they're all mystically powered heroes. Which doesn't mean that metahumans didn't exist where he came from. He was sure that the Sandmen and the Atom Smasher were both more scientific in nature than they were magical.]

The ones who can fly or run fast or shoot blasts of magical energy, yes. It suits them very well.

Different how? [Did this person, too, know a Kendra?]</small?

[Alan raises an eyebrow at the feed and smiles back at M.]

Well, there are things such as rooftop gardens and indoor gardens. I don't know much about either, but there's no better time than the present to learn. But where are you holed up that there's no light to be let in?

Where I come from, an Amazon named Wonder Woman was the world's first hero. They're called Wonders in honor of her. The team of heroes back home were actually called The Eight Wonders of the World.

[He pauses at this and looks at Karen carefully. There's something about her that seems vaguely familiar, but he can't figure out why.]

I understand that most other places prefer to use the word 'super'.

Last time I saw her, it was just "Saunders". Saunders-Hall, maybe I could expect, but...

[ He only sounds a tiny bit bitter when he says it. ]
