Telepathy and then Open to Video/Text/Audio or More Telepathy
OOC: The following return shenanigans is entirely Opt-In ONLY. Even opting in feel free to have your character experience as much or as little of what Charles' bellowing. Here is his updated Permission Post there are some mild spoilers on it, nothing huge. As always, an exchange here does not give blanket permission for future psychic shenanigans.
[ Today’s trick question; what happens when you take an angry telepath, gearing up for the fight of his life and yank him across an inter-dimensional portal into another world?
Answer? ]
[ His last physical memories were of being strapped down on a stone slab, the acidic tang of electricity in the air and a terrifying squelching sound as gold ooze crept up along the stone towards him. An inevitable crawl that promised global destruction if En Sabah Nur succeeded.
Already angrier than he could ever remember being in the past, Charles was in full fight mode both physically, and more importantly, psychically. He was pushing his powers to their limits, struggling against the shielding force of a near god-like being and the sudden jump from the weight of En Sabah Nur’s shielding to no shielding threw Charles off.
Rather like suddenly falling through a door you'd been charging towards, or like Charlie Brown, Lucy and the football.
To those unlucky enough to catch the edge of his telepathic 'shout' the words were delivered with a punch of volume that might leave a person breathless. ]
Iwon'tallowthisIwon'tletyou! GET AWAY FROM ME!!!
[ Angry telepath was angry. While the intensity of the psychic bellowing might leave those who were susceptible to such with a headache at least it was fairly fleeting. As opposed to the poorNPC only sods on shift at the Cape that particular hour.
They got the bellowing combined with a temporary freezing of all their awareness and movement. It wouldn't be for long and no one got hurt, but it was going to be enough to earn Charles a time out and a talking too by government officials.
Once he stopped trying to psychically bellow the house down. ]
[ooc: Feel free to respond to him telepathically OR devices will also work. ICly, responses will be delayed on his device due to the scolding he'll be getting for this. ]

SPOILERS
Charles--
Calm down. You're safe. He's not here; it's just me.
[ Meanwhile, Erik's on his way to Florida... Because well, it'll not be just him, he guesses. And okay, this is kind of definitely mostly his fault. At the same time, he feels a slight tug of excitement because... He hasn't been this close to Charles timeline-wise here, for some time. But as much as being around different timelines allowed him to distance himself from his previous and future selves, the past and future Charleses, in a way... This one's his Charles. ]
SPOILERS
Back, where he'd been just seconds ago, he hadn't been able to reach Erik's mind. Blocked by a combination of the damn helmet and En Sabah Nur's powers. Now he pushed against it, rifling Erik's memories.
Err, sorry for the headache? ]
Re: SPOILERS
Actually, could he borrow that car? Nah, he'll just walk; he's almost there. ]
Stop-- that!
[ Thoughts fly by like papers scattered off a desk, but Erik manages to catch one and project it, a memory of a balmy late summer evening walking around the property of the House, as the days grew shorter and the sun starts to set; they're having an animated chat about how their friends are progressing in their training, how far Banshee has come, how strong Raven is getting. ]
SPOILERS
Erik?
[ He's still not entirely certain his friend will answer. Still expects to be blocked, despite throwing all he can at ... err ... actually, at nothing?
Somewhere in Cape Canaveral, Charles is slowly starting to realize he's crashed on the floor, among a group of very still people. In a very brightly lit room, with a ceiling, rather than a tall, cavernous pyramid. ]
Re: SPOILERS
[ Instead of being, you know, out of his head. He picks up where he left off, running towards one of the portals to get to Cape Canaveral; he's only a few blocks away. ]
You're safe.
[ Something he reiterates, considering it clearly didn't get through the first time. ]

telepathically.
If her brain had ears of its own, Caitlin's pretty sure they'd be ringing right now. Maybe even a ruptured brain-eardrum. As it is, what would have only been a headache from the telepathy springs to life as a fully-formed migraine. Keeping her eyes shut against the light in her apartment, she blindly gropes around for the dampener Cisco made her, fastening it around her wrist as soon as she can. She should go lie down in a dark room, but she can't. Not in good conscience, not without at least trying to... reach out. ]
Hello? Are you hurt, do you need help?
[ She hopes it's just as easy as thinking the words. Otherwise, she's going to feel a bit silly. ]
telepathically.
Purposefully and occasionally sneakily were different matters entirely, but never accidentally.
Hearing her tentative call, he reached back towards her with a bit of a boost to the signal line, for lack of a better term but a softer psychic tone. ]
Apologies, my dear I am quite alright it would seem. Just ah ... disorienting trip back through the Porter.
[ He paused and though she couldn't see it, somewhere in Cape Canaveral, he was wincing, sheepishly. ]
I hope I didn't distress you?
telepathically.
I just ... haven't felt anything that powerful before. I'm not pointing fingers or blaming, but there's a number of people around me who are ... well, distressed is a pretty good word for it.
[ In the relative safety of her apartment in Heropa, she's trying to stay very still ... and hoping the dampener doesn't fritz out. ]
telepathically.
I can imagine and I am truly sorry, I was back in my world and, [ Charles wasn't one for excuses and he wasn't about to bring up events back home with someone he'd just met. At least, not until he had a chance to get his mind sorted out about it all. ]
I didn't expect to be Ported back here. Not that I believe anyone ever expects it, but that is neither here nor there.

TELEPATHY (NOW THAT I'VE SEEN IT)
It's practically a shout back, before a much calmer response. As tightly controlled as before -- the last time they spoke telepathically. ]
Figured out that nobody's in your head yet?
[ Sympathy is not his strong suit. ]
Eeeeee!!
In another world, at another time, Charles probably would have accepted the feedback as merely his due and apologized in the best of stiff upper lip, British tradition. But something was a little changed this time around.
Though there was nothing he could do to break the natural shielding Tony had developed (or just possessed?), he did not slink away with his tail between his legs. Instead, he gave the rush of number a psychic thump, rather like bumping those speakers back against the cell phone rather than trying to quick hustle them away from the threat.
It wasn't dangerous, more like exchanging punches on heavily muscled shoulders but it was a deliberate standing of his ground and it also came with a side of sass.]
Did you just call yourself 'nobody' then?
no subject
He was the one with better control, after all. Apparently, after this outburst. ]
Bad day then, huh?
I don't know if I'd consider myself in your head, when it's really the other way around, and you know it.
no subject
While he doesn't want to get too deep into discussions about what had been happening back home, he is reminded that Tony knows a version of his world and of himself from back in his world. So the next words are at least, worth a shot. ]
Does the name En Sabah Nur mean anything to you?
[ He's going to ignore that last comment, because Tony's right; on all counts. ]

Another cafe patron helps her up, but it turns out she's not the only one; a handful of other
NPCcustomers seem to have heard it as well, judging by how freaked out they're acting. Paprika glances about at their surroundings, but of course sees nothing out of the ordinary. Her head's still pounding faintly from the intensity of it, though. It was definitely real... and definitely frightening.]What was that...?
no subject
Now that he's getting his bearings, Charles really was feeling more than a little contrite about what he'd just done. While he wasn't apologetic about having employed his powers against En Sabah Nur, he certainly wishes he hadn't come back at the near height of it.
But what was done was done. Time for apologies. ]
I am afraid that was me, [ the words come telepathically but much much softer now and laced with sheepishness. ] And I do apologize. I wasn't expecting to be Porter back into this world and wasn't prepared.
no subject
An imPort-? No of course, a normal person couldn't- In my head, but how-?
[But finally they converge, like light focusing through a lens, into one she actually intends to be heard.]
Who are you?
no subject
Heavy thoughts for another time.
Giving her time to sort through the tumble of questions, his curiosity is peaked when she appears to order her thoughts and direct one particular thought towards him. ]
Professor Charles Xavier. I was here, in this world, for quite a few months but went home. It would appear that the Porter has seen fit to bring me back.

Telepathy train
The voice inside his head is pretty loud - too loud for him to ignore, even though he is great at ignoring voices inside his head most of the time - and the headache that follows causes Sasaki to clutch to his own head. But he does recognize the voice, at least, and after a moment of "what the hell charles", he tries to reach back for the man.
If he can, he never did this. ]
Charles?! Are you alright?!
Telepathy train
Charles is slowly drawing his power back towards himself but it is rather like still having the phone line open. He picks up Sasaki's voice and focuses on the young man's mind; though this time his response is decidedly softer. ]
Sasaki, hello. I am so sorry, my friend. The Porter just only brought me back from home and I wasn't well prepared for an inter-dimensional jump.
Are you alright?
[ Because Sasaki's mental landscape was already fragile, he didn't deserve Charles crashing through it. ]
no subject
Sasaki hums and shakes his head, though he doesn't think Charles cna see that ]
It's fine. Just another headache. [ he says, a bit amused, but he is used to it by now ]
Is everything alright?

telepathy;
Charles? Is that... is that you? I thought I heard your voice, shouting a little while ago.
telepathy;
Toby? Yes, yes it's me. I am so sorry about that, I'd been back in my home world when the Porter suddenly pulled me back. I wasn't in the best position for the return trip.
Are you alright?
telepathy;
telepathy;
Ah, yes. There was a mutant, attempting to transfer his consciousness into my mind and my body in order to destroy 'me' and usurp my powers. [ Somehow saying it aloud (so to speak) made it sound so ridiculous.
But the alternative was to try to explain the sinking sensation of pure dread, the knowledge that he was going to be erased and his powers used to destroy the world. Hell that sounded even more melodramatic than the explanation he went with. ]
But, I'm alright now. Perhaps a bit of an issue with the government types but other than that, I am ... myself.
I am truly sorry to have startled you, Toby.
