He's far from a stranger to all of this superhero stuff, seeing as he's from a world full of them himself, but alternate realities? All of this Cold War business? That's definitely news to him.

Personally I don't really understand, but it's suddenly hip have huge, elaborate lumberjack beards.

Then I'll give them something refreshing and simple for a change. If they don't like it, they have three times as much beard to work with instead.
