So uh. That whole mess sure was...something. But is it weird that at the same time I'm kind of grateful for it? I mean, it helped me understand what one of my friends is going through, I guess. So that has to count for something. [Right? Even if it did lead to Yuu becoming what he hated - a vampire. Having it forced on him like that. Not being allowed to entirely starve himself even as much as he kept refusing to drink from humans.]

That's not just me, is it? I mean, I guess I can understand if some people might even have been better off, with those different memories or whatever. But I get it - there probably wasn't a way to make only some people stay like that. Regardless, it's good to be back to normal again. [As normal as a boy who is part demon, part seraph can really be amid his lingering humanity, anyway.]

A-anyway. Um, I was thinking, if we have to go to school and all, and I still have a few months left until I'd finish since I'm still sixteen - there's another one here, right? For imPorts, to help us with our powers and all? I think I pretty much got it - with using Ashuramaru at least, but more focus and practice can't hurt. I think I'd prefer that to the normal school anyway. Not that I'm not enjoying my job and all too, but....well, there was that one incident but it really wasn't important. [Yuu no don't just brush that off like it's nothing. (But really. Hawke deserves all the thanks for helping this idiot.]

No, it's okay. A lot has been happening and all. I'm just glad if everyone's alright now.

I'm still not quite sure how it all happened. But yeah. I'm fine now. Back to normal like everyone else.

Yeah. Everything has been taken care of. Riku is back home. A little injured, but he's getting better.

Thankfully it is finally over. It felt weird, didn't it? We were conscious, yet we weren't in control at all. It all felt like a long dream.

[If only it was one, she knew Yuu couldn't be okay with everything. She has been wanting to reach out for him, to talk more about it, but the whole Riku and Kagami issue happened shortly after and mote. She was caught off guard. And now, she didn't know if she should ask about it. Does she have the right to? Will it simply hurt him to? Bring out painful memories? For now, all she could honestly say was:]

A dream, huh? Maybe. I'm just glad it's over. Even if in a way I think it might help, in understanding what happened to Mika more.

There is the Xavier School for imPorts, yes. They have traditional classes, to teach students science, history, arts and such, but also imPort-oriented subjects, like training, helping with powers and such.

I've always heard good things about the place.

My powers aren't different from back home or anything, but it never hurts to practice. [More like, Ashuramaru at least, is familiar. Yuu still doesn't actually recall the entire events of his initial reunion with Mika, when he lost control after taking those pills and almost killed Shinoa. It's one thing to hear about it in the aftermath, another to purposely recall such a thing. The seraph experiments.]

And I guess even from what little I have read and all so far it seems that the history here is different to back home.

Yeah, most worlds are different from each other. It's something we have to get used to as well, among many others.

Some might be similar, but still with differences, yeah. This one seems similar in some ways to back home. But I guess that could kind of be said for a lot of other versions of 'Earth'. I'm just glad this one didn't suffer the virus we did back home.

Yeah, there is always a difference, no matter how small. [ or big. ]

There was this virus a few years back that wiped out most of humanity. The adults, anyone over thirteen or so. Doesn't seem to have happened here as far as I can tell.

[Nobody really seems to know the how or why. It just happened one day, suddenly. At least, to Yuu's knowledge at the time and to this day thus far, before ending up here.]

... I'm sorry. [ it seems like the Porter really loves to bring people from worlds that terrible things happened doesn't it? ]

Does anyone know what is this virus?

It's...well, it's not okay. But I'm not sure if it's anyone's fault exactly. For all I know, there might have been some trying to research and treat it. I know the military probably has access to better facilities to do that than the normal hospitals.

[It's why he was relieved, if Kimizuki got to join the Moon Demon Company, to move Mirai to one. Where they would hopefully have better resources to treat her, even if she was far too young to have supposed to have gotten it. It did still affect the odd child younger than the predicted thirteen or so at the time.]

It's not something I've specifically looked into. Especially since I kind of went away for a few years in the initial aftermath when it happened.

Yeah. Still, doesn't seem like it's something we need to worry about here. It hit us a few years back now back home, so it'd have happened by now if things were the same.

[In theory. Though this whole traveling times and worlds can be hard to figure. It's hard to say for certain if this might still not yet happen somehow, or another virus from Russia might occur as a result of this war for all he knows.]

I wouldn't want this to happen even for a few days. Even if the Porter might be able to bring back the dead. That's still....

[Unnatural? Terrifying? He's not quite sure what the word is that he's looking for there. But it's definitely not something he's willing to chance. At least, where others might be concerned. Though us imPorts have the nanites which bring us back to life, the natives are usually hurt when something happens.

So it would just be the natives that might be affected. Not us imPorts.....that still wouldn't make it any better.

it's not exactly like that. Imports usually get affected and are the target. But to us, it's usually not permanent. [ to the natives, sometimes is ]

But I guess it isn't like I have experience with all this - other worlds, how all these powers and nanite things work or any of that. Well, I know how my own power works. Mostly. Same as back home.

Not many people do. Some people arrive here with their biology and their powers, but there are a lot of weird things happening in this world that no one is used to.

Our biology. Makes sense though. I don't think mine has changed any. As far as Ashuramaru's told me anyway.
