[ Then he shrugs, his shoulders barely visible with the angle he's holding the phone. ]

Okay! So, the future is now, technology is amazing, blah blah blah. More importantly! Can someone point to me on a map where the hell "Virginia" is, because I slept through most of my classes and other than "somewhere in America," I am lost. "You're going to live in some town in Virginia," they tell me. Did you know America is huge? Because personally, I had no concept whatsoever.

[ He considers for a moment, then adds: ]

And the first person to tell me where I can get some weed is my new best friend for at least the next day, or until I forget I said that. Whichever happens first!

I'm not sure. He's been glaring for a long time.

It's not quite as much fun when people don't react, I've found. Still fun, though.

[ He pauses, then adds: ]

I mean more, things in general. I've never had to escape a bunch of guards.

No? What do you usually do for fun then?

[ Depending on how observant he is, Miles may notice that Katou has bitten back the first answer he came up with. He takes a moment to respond. ]

Video games, mostly. That, or I'd just go out with my friends and just... hang out somewhere, I guess.

[dendarii]

... Really. That seems rather ... tame.

I could always throw "beating up people" and "getting high" onto the list, but I'm actually working on making sure the former's more productive.

Ah. Violence and drugs. Always a good time.

That's how I think of it, anyway!

I'm usually on the less fun side of those, admittedly.

The guy getting beaten up?

And the guy having to take the less fun drugs.

Ugh, you have my sympathies, then. I try to stick with the fun ones, but sometimes, you just can't avoid it.

That's esentially my whole life. The most fun I get to have is drinking.

Well, it's a good enough substitute, at least. Not ideal, but it'll do.
