I probably shouldn't be on here at work, but it's almost closing time so there's practically no one around anymore anyway. It was pretty busy earlier though, since my boss asked me to try bringing this with me today.

[Pidge turns the focus of the feed to the robot lion sitting next to her. It's about the size of a regular lion.]

It...definitely got attention. I don't even remember the last time I had to talk to that many people in one day.

Since I've already been stuck socializing all day, I guess I should finally introduce myself. So, uh, hi. I'm Pidge. You might've seen a few of my friends around. Some of them also have lions like mine. I've been trying to study some of the tech around here, so if anyone wants to talk about stuff they have at home, that'd be pretty cool.

Not exactly, but it's too small right now to do what it's supposed to.

Usually it's huge and I pilot it.

Where I'm from, we haven't sent manned missions beyond Earth's moon yet. Technologically, it's a little more advanced than what's here in some ways, and a little behind in others.

The native tech of this world and the tech imPorts like us have brought in are merged together now so it's hard to say what's what. [ok, no introductions] But back home, I knew some people who could make really high-functioning AIs and also get technology to function during situations where nothing is supposed to.

I'm used to technology that's more advanced in some fields, and not in others. Our cars back home still use wheels, for instance, but our prosthetics and cyberization technology are decades ahead of what's available here.
