I would say it's good to be back, but I don't know yet if that's true. [ jeez, he's tired. ] I'll have to make sure my friends from home are okat too, if they're still here.

[he's at the house now, if the sound of multiple doges barking excitedly didn't instantly tip you off.]

[It is probably for the best that the call ends there. Anyway, a few minutes later he'll be at the lobby at Xavier's, with one (1) Benji on a leash. Sup.]

[ akito is quick to make his way to the front walkway of the school's main building, anxious to be reunited with his dog. he mentally goes over all the possible repairs he'll have to make to the prosthesics allowing benji to walk and run comfortably. will he need a brushing? his nails trimmed? a bath? he'll probably need his teeth brushed...

agito just leaves his other half be for the moment, familiar enough with him to know when it's best to let akito run through his emotions on his own. ]

[Fortunately, it seems dear Benji has been well cared for! Even if Qubit's not always on top of the dog care situation, Doc certainly is. By this point Benji has noticed who's here, and is prancing around excitedly, tugging at the lead. Qubit at least lets Akito reach the bottom of the stairs, though, before he catches the excited pupper and unclips the leash, and at that point Benji makes a beeline for Akito, his tail wagging so wildly it seems like his back end might fall off. For his part, Qubit can't restrain a grin.]

Someone's glad to see you.

[ the thing with young dogs is that they grow fast, and though benji is likely just about fully grown now, there is a difference between the benji akito remembers and the benji that is now hefty enough that it catches akito off guard. he topples to the ground under the force of benji's pounce, but quickly laughs and wrestles with his precious dog like he's an animal himself. ]

[ akito is not prone to crying, yet he can feel the tears building at the corners of his eyes in both happiness and relief.

he'll thank you once he's done fawning and fussing over his dog, qubit, really!

as for benji, well... his tail is wagging so fast his body is vibrating with it, but he's still trained well enough to let akito check on his prosthetics without smothering him in more kisses. ]
