[Jacob films this post while standing in front of the white walls of Helix Station in Maurtia Falls, wearing a navy-blue tank top and black shorts. Judging by the sweat visible on his arms, he just finished his exercise for the morning. His ramrod-straight posture projects an image of Official Business that doesn't match his casual tone of voice, or his workout clothes.]

Hey, everyone. I'm Jacob Taylor. I work with RISE: that's an imPort police team, for all you new arrivals out there. I'm putting together something new for the community... kind of a public safety resource. Like the FAQ, but focused on who's causing trouble these days.

So I thought I'd ask: what do you think are the biggest threats around here? Criminals, terrorists, the Soviets? Maybe there's something most of us haven't heard about yet that more people need to know about. It's important to be aware, especially when people might want you dead. There's always something happening under the surface around here.

Oh, and just so we're clear: this is going to be a list focusing on groups, not individual people. So don't bother talking about who your least favourite imPorts are.

[He pauses for a moment, then relaxes his posture as he segues into more civilian matters.]

That's about it for official business. Unofficially... I was wondering if anybody has got suggestions on a good name for a dog.

[He's totally planning to get a dog. Heads up, MF 001 housemates!]

[Give her a second to look through the internet for a picture of one.]

You mean one of these, right?

[Sending him a link of the first cute picture she could find.]

They really are cute if it is! Do you know what gender you want them to be or are you undecided on it?

Yeah. Exactly like one of those.

[That's a great picture- Jacob's outright grinning on the other end of the connection now.]

I'm undecided right now. Although I also don't know much about whether gender affects personality in dogs. I've still got some research to do.

A dog's gender can affect their personality? [Wow. That's kinda new. She had no idea.]

I always thought people adopt animals after they feel a connection with them. Be it by the way they act or react to you. I didn't know research was all that important.

[Then she wonders.]

Is this your first time getting a pet?

Yeah, it is. I've been in the military for a long time back home. I never had the chance to have a pet. As long as the Porter is keeping me around here, I figure I might as well go for it.

I guess the military life is almost like a full time job, huh? [It's a little sad to hear he couldn't have a dog before. He seemed like he'd be a very good owner.] But I'm glad you're getting the chance to now. Whoever you choose to be your loyal companion, be it girl or boy, will be happy to have you as a new friend. You're a good guy, Jacob!

[With that said, she will say one more thing:]

Goldy. I like it for a name. Short for golden. Flaxen if you want a cooler sounding name than a cute one.

[Jacob can't help but chuckle at her earnest kindness.]

Thanks, Nike. And thanks for the suggestion. Goldy sounds like a solid choice.

[Flaxen less so, but he won't mention that.]

[Hey, Flaxen was a good name too! She'd argue for the poor name's defense.]

Let me know when you adopt your new dog though! I'd like to meet them. A golden retriever must be cuter in person, right?

They're cute as hell, believe me. I'll definitely set up a meeting. You're not the only person who wants to see the dog once I've got it. It's nice that there's so much interest.

Oh, I will! I like to think you chose this particular breed for a good reason, right?

[At the mention of the interest of meeting his new friend, Nike couldn't help feel as joyful about it as he does.]

It's not everyday that someone announces in wanting to find a new furry companion for the first time. As much as we all have a part to play in this world, it's nice to have moments like these to share and experience with others. It's a nice change of pace, right?

Yeah, you're right. There's a movie I've always been a big fan of. The dog in it was the best dog in the world, and he was a yellow lab: just like what I want to get.

[Jacob has a lot of feelings about Old Yeller.]

The best dog of the world? I never knew there was a movie like that here. Did you see it back home or here?

It's called 'Old Yeller.' I saw it in my own world, but I'm pretty sure it exists here too.

You should check it out, Nike. I think you'd like it.

I'll have to check it out. A movie about the best dog in the world has to be good.

I mean, it was more than enough to convince you to get a dog. Maybe it'll touch my heart just as well.

I'm sure it will. It's moving... a real classic. You can let me know how you liked it when I introduce my new dog.
