Testing, testing, one, two, three... perfect!

[There's a brief pause as Utena tries to start a new post, but instead, her message just follows after her brief test]

Hey everyone. There's a lot of new people here, huh? Anyway, I'm Utena Tenjou, and I just got here last month. I remember that it can be pretty hard getting used to this place, especially if you don't know that many other imPorts. I mean, I don't have anything against the natives here, but... well, there's just some things they don't really understand, you know?

So, I had an idea. Why don't we have a meetup this weekend? You know, for everyone who's still going to school. That way, we can all get to know people who understand what it's like to be an imPort. I hear that there's an aquarium at Nonah that's supposed to be pretty nice, so we can all meet up there Saturday afternoon.

[OOC: This meetup will be the start of the Attack of the Chaos Coven plot! Despite what she says, it's open to non-students as well; Utena's just so used to going to school for so long that she forgot about kids who aren't going to school. Your characters are free to sign up ICly here, but it's not required.]

[Gran's starting to have what the young folks say is a 'social life', and he's not about to knock that habit any time soon. Besides, he's enjoyed talking with Utena, so getting to know her more was also one of his reasons.]

Do you want to come, too? It's no planetarium, but there's supposed to be some pretty interesting stuff there.

[Even if the aquarium didn't sound like fun on its own (which it did), the idea of having weekend plans was such a new experience. And he did want to spend more time with Utena.

She knew how to play soccer. And not only that, she was really good at it.]

Do you know what kinds of animals they have there?

Kind of, but... oh! Do you know Kidou and Ken? They've been to the aquarium before, so they'd have a better idea of what's there than me.

[Half for the people. Half for the fact that there are African penguins there.]

By the way, I've been to the aquarium there. I can vouch for it.

Really? That's great! Do you mind showing people around? This might be some people's first time going to any aquarium, and we might need someone who can explain it to them.

The entrance provides maps. If you'd prefer me to play tour guide, I don't mind that.

A map might show people where everything is, but it's not going to really explain things. So it might not help if there's somebody who's... well, if there's someone who's not from a place like this

Oh, I know that aquarium. It is nice. The weekend will be good, too... sometimes they have events going on, and a lot of people won't have work, or school.

It's nice to meet you, Amada-Kun. And that's what I was hoping for - I usually end up working weekends at my job, so I wanted to plan something while I still had the chance. But what kind of events do they have there? Is there anything special?

Well, there's always the seasonal exhibits, but on weekends they have more, or different, movies playing in the theater. Or they'll do talks about different animals.

[andtherevolution]

So, it's different every time you go there. Maybe if people like it, we can plan another trip later on - though there's a bunch of other places here that I want to see, too. We could go to the beach, or see what's over in De Chima... or we can just go to the movies or a diner, if we want to keep it simple.

That's a pity—I was most interested in those types of animals. Still, seals shall suffice!

When you go in, go right. You'll find the seals.

Ah... I'm sorry, I've been so caught up in school that I didn't think about that. But there's no reason why you can't come, too. I mean, this is supposed to be a chance for new imPorts to meet people, so it would be pretty silly if you weren't welcome.

What an excellent idea, Utena-san! It's not about for or against, really--it's just nice to talk to people who understand.

And an aquarium is an excellent place to visit whether or not you've been abruptly kidnapped by a sentient teleporter to a parallel Earth starting World War III.

[She sighs, taking a moment to think]

Do you really think that's the only way out of this situation? War, I mean.

[Aheh, oops. She didn't mean to set it quite so well, admittedly.]

No, I don't think so. The United States and Russia were able to resolve their differences peacefully on my own Earth. I still think it's possible for them to do so here.

I haven't been to one in person yet, but I've been doing a lot of research since you mentioned the idea. And it's right near home for me, so I should get to know the different attractions in my community, right?
