[ Kitty looks a little more normal than she did the last time she made a post on the network, since the last time she made a post on the network she looked like a tiger. She's bright-eyed, cheerful, and has a pair of very elaborate and beautiful earrings. ]

So, I'm taking a class in journalistic methods at the local community college - it's a brilliant class, too, I'm having an excellent time, school really gets much more worthwhile when you get to the college level, doesn't it - and we've been given an assignment to conduct interviews. I know that some of you are willing and happy to help me out and submit to being interviewed. [ Her grin is confident. ] It's nothing too personal, I promise - just some stuff on your attitude towards the locals here, that sort of thing. It'll be fun.

[ This...is not one hundred percent truthful, since the assignment is to interview one person, not the whole community. But, hey, why not do some broad info-gathering, right? ]

Oh. So you two weren't...friends.

[ Kitty shrugs. ]

So what sorts of crimes did you do?

But to answer your question. Theft, destruction of property, the usual. Kidnapping, once. A mistake. Murder, never.

The more important question is how I committed them. And why.

[ She gestures in invitation - ]

Right. How did you commit them, and why?

By the date. For the date. I made my own weapons. My own costumes. Themed crime sprees.

Based on the seasons, days the week, the holidays. Our world revolves around the calendar, but people forget. I make them remember.

[rathercommon]

Huh.

[ Well, that is unique, isn't it? ]

Is that why you do it? To make people more aware of what's going on around them?

Aware is an understatement. Everything comes back to the calendar. In it there is meaning, an understanding of how the world works. I have to show them. I have to show you all.

[rathercommon]

[ Well, that sounds a little bit insane, but...well, she supposes her own obsession with magic and with politics probably sounds a bit mad to other people, too. So who's she to judge? ]

But there are a few different calendars, aren't there? There's, what, the Gregorian, and the Julian, and - [ Uhm. ] Mayan, too, right? And a bunch of others. D'you care about them all, or is one more important than the others?

Correct. There are dozens. Many no longer in use. I am familiar with them as well. But the Gregorian is the one that impacts our daily lives the most.

What about time? Like - minutes, hours, all that. D'you care about that?

Time is very important. The calendar and time are intertwined. But minutes and hours are more Clock King's purview.

[rathercommon]

Who's that? A friend of yours?

A colleague. My last day spent in my own world was working with him. [ He pauses, remembering. ] I'm told he later died. But perhaps you may meet him one day. The Porter dislikes proper chronology, after all.

That's very true.

[ Then - ]
