2 ☄ Video
[The video opens on a guy with a mass of long hair that's being tied behind with both hands. The feed captures his medical coat, and the dim blue hue of monitors to his back. Their light reflects off the metal shelf by his right, whilst his desk sits in darkness, save for a lamp pointed down at the papers on its surface.
Machines hum in the background; together with the ticking of a clock and nearby footfall. He takes a hasty glance and, unsure of how to begin things, shuts his eyes. Does he introduce himself? Does he jump straight to his question? His fingers pull the tie taut then tap his sides. Last month's events were a strange twist of fate - a collapse of logic - that did not allow them peace. Alas! They had raised a question he could not solve alone.
It takes a moment of thought before he talks. His voice is calm but his speech? Noticably slow.]
On examining the situation with the rise of native superheroes, as you call them, I find myself puzzled. We beheld those who were ordinary become capable of the extraordinary. I request you answer one question that's on my mind:
What is the place of imPorts in this world now?

I don't get it. What does any of that have to do with the locals getting powers? We don't have to be special for you to do what makes you happy. If you wanna help people, it shouldn't matter who else is doing it.

It shouldn't matter and it does not matter to me. But I do not doubt it matters to other people. This importance cannot be understated. Remember, some of us tie our identities to others; it is an unfortunate symptom of various concerns that I cannot say. I am not a psychologist. But I am a doctor, and I would rather hear such concerns than refuse to do so.

[He shrugs.]
But no, I don't really care if the locals get powers or not. I mean, it shouldn't have been done in the first place, 'cause it's wrong to screw around with people's lives, but what's done is done, and the last thing I'd wanna see is these guys feeling like they're not really human anymore or some other bullshit just 'cause they're different now.

[Victor might recall a mention of such a thing in the latest Majority Report, even.]
Besides that, they just...need to be treated like the same people they were before. 'Cause they are, you know.
sorry this is late. lost the notif
I have long said such. Everyone deserves dignity. But they deserve it outside a setting specifically designed for that purpose. Whence, I ask myself, how can I do more? I do not feel one can create a school and feel satisfied and leave it there. More must be done.

I mean, that's a nice sentiment and all, and it'd be great if everyone thought like that, but I dunno if this kinda thing is solveable, really. For every person you get through to, there's gonna be another one that won't listen. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try our best, and all, but people're always scared of what they don't understand.
We can help them feel like they're not alone, and there are gonna be plenty of people who won't be assholes about this, but expecting we can fix what everyone thinks is kinda unrealistic, innit?

It's not fair or right, but they don't like feeling like there's a weapon out there that they couldn't match if they wanted to. Even if the person who holds it doesn't wanna hurt anyone.
