[ there's a pointed beat of silence, as she presses her lips together in contemplation. almost as an afterthought, she adds: ]

Things sometimes get complicated. Sometimes you can spend a lot of time here, and then get sent back to the moment you left from, and time's not progressed at all back there. So say you spend a year here. Then here, you'd count as twenty, back there you're only nineteen. Then you get sent there, and suddenly you're a little younger. Then you come back here...

[ A shrug. ]
