🌙 :: Wonderfully Lost. :: 1st rising.
[ There is a camera but its wonderfully shaky-- the sound of footsteps are heavy as he runs down a busy street, the pavement and peoples feet barely visible through his fingers and the movement blur. It comes to a stop in semi-darkness, being held up to reveal a very scruffy looking man. It seems he wanted to be somewhere quieter. Because of his dirty and mangled appearance, you absolutely do not expect him to talk like he does. ]
Small companion of the light, harken to thy surroundings. A civilization surpassed akin to thou, born of metal and glass yet given a life of its own... what sorcery encompasses thou so?
To thee I promise, if thou speaketh again, I shalt answer. To thyself, if wisheth to keep thy secrets I shall kneel for I art trustworthy with thy words.
[ His accent is soft and spoken poetically and regally. He has been hearing other videos through the open channels on the communicator but was too busy being a little bit confused to answer back. This time however he decides to try and initiate a conversation with the 'talking box of light'.
He believes it is a talking box of secrets. Oh boy. He has no idea where he is either (even though its been explained to him?!) but the priority seems to be the talking box first. ]

Oh!!
[ It was hard to tell what was going on at first, but she doesn't try to get him off the screen. Yet again, she was fascinated--Watching with an owlish expression as she does so. Though something strikes her as a bit odd...
It was the way the man spoke. Whilst it was rare for anyone to speak like that at home, it did happen... And she was capable of understanding what he was saying. ]
I don't think this... Mirror... ? Holds any magic, I can't really feel it. I'd like to think that things like this would be rich with magic. I'm not quite sure what it could be then, but it sure is interesting!
[ Merrill couldn't help but to reply to him, though her words were spoken in a rather hasty manner; almost as if she was about to go on some sort of rant about it. Scratching the back of her head, she lets him continue before she decides to talk any more. ]
I.. I'm not entirely sure if I have secrets to give to you, other than the fact that I'm a bit.. lost.
[ Her eyes go a bit round, and she shakes her head. ]
I'm rambling, sorry! I should probably stop before I talk your ear off.

[ This is the first time he has seen a face upon the box-- and to his weird surprise... it is a maiden? He stares for a few moments at the perplexing markings upon her face before addressing the box again. ]
Greetings, fair box. Thou art lost too... with me? Or... art thou somewhere else, perhaps connected with thyself through this object... like a vision...?
[ His words are curious if not intrigued... he really hadn't expected to see a face. ]

[ She places a hand upon her chest, and smiles to the peculiar device. He could clearly see her as much as she could see him. ]
Yes... In a way, I'm lost with you. In a different location, probably! You could say it's like a vision, I suppose. We are connected through this mirror of sorts.

[ He replies in a confused manner, not used to being addressed by mere ... common folk. It wasn't that he was snooty, rather, he was just unaware as to how to go about this. ]
So thou art elsewhere? I know not where I am and I know nothing of this strange land... mayhaps thou could tell me, or doth thou hail from yonderland too?

fuck it, he's gonna do it. ]
Hullo there! Magic box here, what d'you want?
Re: voice;

[ Like existing here and why boxes of light were sitting behind windows and why everyone was dressed not like a peasant and what world this was and how and who and why on Earth were people walking with their canine companions tied to rope?! ]

My name's Max. Are you alright?

Thou art not the first...! Greetings, Max. I art wandering streets, for when I open my mouth few know my mannerisms of speech. Tell me, where shalt I learn to converse with the humans so?

[In all his life, all 17 years now of being alive - sort of - no one has ever said anything like that to him.]
Why not?

To be, or not to be: that is the question.
[ It's really not the question at hand here, but that's the only Shakespeare that readily comes to mind. ]
// LMAO OMG OWERGOWEORH
I hath wondered thou conundrum oft in stead of living thusly; calamitous may be thy soul, but thou flesh to be felt within a breathing realm... that is where thou shalt find thyself.
[ Ok. He's sort of gathering by now that the box has many different voices and personalities, it seems. ]
Who art thou, stranger?
I AM SO SORRY
He's not a complete moron, though, and after thinking about it for a few seconds, he thinks they've just established that no one actually lives inside the phone. Which, admittedly, if he was from ye olden, he figures he'd probably be worried about too. ]
No sir, we are both very much alive and not living in the phone. That's what this is, by the way. [ He taps his finger against the screen. ] A phone. Don't ask why it's called that because I know idea. I'm Felix.
[ He is trying very hard here. ]
Who be thou?
// MY EVERYTHING IS CRINGING AT 'WHO BE THOU' I LOVE FELIX
Mine too! I'm glad you like him though!!

[ This world seemed VERY different... since when did man create without the God's overseeing? He knew they were curious creatures, but where hes from, people are either incredibly stupid (or dead) or had begged for an appearance before the lord of the Sun to bestow their inventions before him for blessings. ]

[ It's not a new concept to Edmund, personally, as Narnia is as self-sufficient as any other world. Aslan comes and goes in the wilderness, appears when he is most needed, but at the end of the day Narnians are cared for by Narnians. ]
