[ Consider him curious. Maybe he shouldn't be and maybe he shouldn't even bother. But, sometimes at night—and after a martini or several, shh—certain questions and thoughts rise to the forefront of his mind no matter how much he may wish for them not to.

And, well, since he has some form of an audience here, Magnus figures: why not??

It's just audio for now, his tone is fairly even with just a small touch of amusement. Because if he can't poke fun at certain things, what's the point. Right? Right. ]

There's always quite a lot of discussion over what to do with time. Complaints about wishing to have more or wishing it would pass faster. So, I'm curious. What would you do if you had an infinite amount of time?

Indeed. Of this world, and many other worlds, if we could find the right doors to open.

[ Speaking from experience here. ]

Do you do plenty of traveling?

That's certainly the key, isn't it?

But, yes, I do. Or, have, rather. It's been a bit since I've been able to have a proper travel.

[ He's not counting certain trips because, well. He's just not. ]

It should hopefully ring a bell.

Proper travel? [ He's curious as to what improper travel would be, although being the guy that managed to bounce from one world to another, and then get pulled to a third one, his point of view on traveling is a little skewed. ] Did you ever have a favorite destination?

[ Perhaps one day he'll get a proper explanation! ]

I do; Peru. Though it's been ages since I've been. I've grown partial to Paris, too. Are those places where you're from? I know there's an odd assortment mixed here.

[exonerated]

I was born in Britain.

[ Paris, anyway, is a little bit familiar to him. Peru is a name out of a geography book, maybe something he's learned in school, but eventually forgot. ]

But I'm afraid the real answer is a lot more complicated — where I grew up and lived, before I got here, is a different place. [ A pause. ] A different world, even.

[ Magnus makes a noise of acknowledgement first, then; ]

Is it truly that complicated? You're in another world right now. Not many get to visit one, let alone two, outside of their own. And yet, here we all are. In a different world.

[exonerated]

Oh, indeed. It's what passes for the norm here, nowadays, although I've yet to meet another individual that've seen different worlds besides their own and this one.

[ Narnia itself is the complication, to be honest, and it encompasses a lot. ]

It was a bit of an accident, really. I suppose we walked through a door connecting two worlds [ a wardrobe door ], and never looked back.
