3gou - misfired voice post meant for Endou

[It was hard enough for him to call Kidou in the position he was in...the situation was embarrassing enough as it was, but you know how it goes, you try to make things a little more festive and end up....getting tangled up in things you probably should have left alone.]

[Endou gets another, briefer silence. It's that moment Kidou needs to stare out into the middle distance. He doesn't notice right away that the conversation was moved. Endou replied, and he's way too distracted by the inanity of the situation to look at where it's taking place. Every time he tries to picture this, he's caught between wanting to laugh and wanting to press his head against a tree, hard. Kidou, being Kidou, does neither of these things, and instead represses any indication he has an urge to do either.

His best friend is an idiot.

He knew that going into this, but did Endou really see a need to give him reminders of this fact?]

[He'd sound amused if he didn't also sound vaguely defeated. He shouldn't have to clarify this, but just in case...]

[To be fair, decorating Tire-san the Second was not a dumb idea. It was trying to practice with him afterwards where things got a little sketchy.

There is obvious relief in Endou's voice.]

And if Endou doesn't have anything else to say while Kidou makes his excuses and gets over there, he'll be at the park faster than it usually takes him. Kidou may or may not have placed the scissors safely in his pocket and ran for a decent chunk of the way.]

[He can only think of one person who would do that that would talk to Kidou about it. Gran has a girlfriend or whatever according to Noodle, and he doesn't know how Gran and tires would go together.]

Kidou hesitates, then relents. He doesn't quite want to say yes so readily... but he can't exactly lie about it, either. The one time Kidou would prefer Amada wasn't quite so perceptive...]

[Ken has no idea why Kidou sounds to tense, but then he's already gotten used to Kidou sounding tense at any given time regardless of whether he understands or not. Ken's voice, on the other hand, remains lighthearted.]

It's scary when your message doesn't go where you intended it to go, but I don't think there's any harm done. I hope you get some explanation out of him how he managed to pull that off.
