[One December afternoon as carols and the sound of jingle bells belt from every business' speakers, filling people with Christmas cheer (and exhaustion) weeks before the actual event, one imPort posts a text to the network.]

You'd think that with there being four of us ordering at least one of us would get our name right, right?

[Attached to the post is a selfie of teens showing off their favorite signature holiday drinks, but the focus of the picture are the names -- confidently scribbled across the cup of each drink are Grant, Kenneth, Utah, and Moore, and anybody who knows these boys will know that those are pretty much the 4kids dub version of their names at best.]

Let's pretend there's a campfire and share some stories about ways your name has been spelled or pronounced since coming here. I'm sure it's happened to a majority of us. （´。` ）

Is it really so strange to get a cold drink in December?

[Aliea had quite a lot of children growing up, so sharing a sip of a drink was no big deal on his end, at the very least.]

[Ken, likewise, shared drinks with his mother all the time and does the same with his big siblings here too. He doesn't think twice about it as he turns to Gran and leans over, keeping his cup away so he wouldn't accidentally splash it on his friend.]

[Gran holds it out for him, not moving it too much to avoid any straws going up people's noses or into eyes, and lets him take a sip. It was cool, yes, but it had a refreshing aftertaste that seemed to practically match the snow.

The chocolate's subtle, but a nice undertone.]

[Ken doesn't usually go for minty drinks so this is a new experience. The sip he takes his a modest one, eyes squeezing shut at first in response to just how cold it is especially after a few sips of his own warmer one, but then they're opening wide as he licks his lips.]

Oh! This is nice. Good choice.

[Gran's eyes light up at Ken's reaction to the drink, pinpointing the exact moment the change in temperatures caused those lips to pucker up.

Were he not so polite, he'd laugh a little louder than he does, which is nothing but a silent little escape of air.]

I don't know why, but the mint seems to really capture winter for me.

Mm. It does for me, too. It kind of feels like snow.

[It really is refreshing. He always knew that minty tastes like from toothpaste made his teeth feel cool, but this one, along with its cool temperature, really does. And he thinks he understands exactly what Gran is getting at.]

It's cooling, but it still leaves you feeling pretty happy.

I thought the same thing.

[Fresh fallen snow, with a soft chocolate undertone. Worth the slight chill in his spine from the sensation.]

Don't tell Ulvida. I'm sure I'll get a look from her.

[Even despite his consternation over the liberal reinterpretation of his name, Kidou can't help but look satisfied hearing that. It's the little things.]

Well, yeah.

[He doesn't even offer. Offering means Gran gets the option of refusal. Kidou simply unwraps his scarf and holds it out.

He's fine, after all.]

[The very little things. You're such a little dork, Kidou.

But the offered scarf widens his eyes, straw pausing mid sip from his drink as he looks from it, to Kidou, and seeing the smile on his face.

It's hard not to let his own creep from underneath it, setting his drink down for one minute to take it in his hands.]

You're sure?

[It's Kidou's turn to stare right back into Gran's eyes. The effect may be a little lost with tinted lenses obscuring where he's looking exactly, but given the nature of his goggles, not by that much.]

Of course.

[The smile all but spreads on his face as he takes it, wrapping it just under the one Ulvida had given him and extends it to his shoulders. Dark red contrasting nicely with his black coat.]

If you need it back for the rest of our walk, don't hesitate to say so.

I'll take it back when you're done with it. The cold doesn't bother me as much.

[And if it does, he'll put up with it.]

[Once the scarf is situated on his shoulders, Gran pauses a moment, looking at his own drink and offering it out to Kidou.]

[What was the Kidou policy on sharing drinks? It's strange when the alien is treating Kidou like the actual alien in this scenario.]

[The Kidou policy about sharing drinks is that he doesn't even have one yet. It's never come up before.

He's never even considered it with anyone besides maybe Haruna. The blank stare Gran gets in return says everything. He doesn't even have a ready reply to an offer like that.

Food can be shared, but... hm.]

[Did he break him? A hand actually reaches out to push against his shoulder a little, wondering if he gave it just enough pressure that Kidou would fall over. Not likely, of course...but one always has to check.]
