His range allows him to reach all 4 porter cities, so this is open to all characters who wish to opt-in.]



[ It came a few hours after the loudspeaker announcement of the prison break. A light brush across the thoughts, like a polite knock at the door, before crisp.

What came next, for those who might "hear" him, were crisp, British tones delivered in a calm manner. ]

I apologize for the intrusion, but this is the only way I could think to reach as many of you as possible. My name is Professor Charles Xavier, and if we haven't already met? I do wish the circumstances were better.

I'll keep this short, as I am sure that most of you have already heard what has happened at the high-security prisons across all four cities. I'm afraid that I have no further useful details, beyond this one warning.

I've touched the minds of some of the escapees and discovered a very disturbing similarity across each.

Their thoughts and emotions are quite virulent against the imPort community and their intentions are violent. Be prepared to approach them with caution, and/or protect yourself accordingly. If you need or want any assistance and are comfortable asking, I am willing to help as best I can to relay a message in this manner.

[ It works quite well actually, causing Charles to wince slightly at the other end of the communication, though he'd expected a bit of push back. ]

My apologies.

[ His voice was sincere and he would, as requested, draw back immediately. It had been the message about the prison break that was important. Message delivered, he had no desire to outstay. ]

The Foundation. [ He'd been working when the power went out, which should come as a surprise to no one. ]

You can do that whenever you like, can you?

[It's been at least a day since the telepathic broadcast went out, but Alfie is just assuming he'll know what he's talking about here.]

[ It took him a minute to sort out who this was and what he was talking about. Only a minute, mind you but a minute all the same.

Charles' vocal voice was practically the same as his telepathic voice. The only difference being, his telepathy held a sense of warmth that couldn't quite be replicated through audio. ]

Ah, hello to you as well, Mr ... ?

Yeah. How often do you do that, and who told you I could be on your list of contacts?

[That's not your name, Alfie.]

[ Probably wouldn't be wise to pick the man's name up from his head and turn it back on him. Though it was hard for Charles to block out the name Alfie.

He just had the wherewith-all not to say anything. ]

Not often. I'm well aware it makes people uncomfortable, but the need in this instance outweighed that particular concern.

Tony doesn't have a manual override on his building?

[It's kind of a random question, but Alfie wants to know a little more about this guy who's been in his head. He's British himself - his accent is very heavy Cockney.]

[ That was, rather a random question but Charles was willing to let Alfie take the lead in the conversation. After all, he had rather taken liberties in their initial encounter. ]

Yes, by way of Westchester New York. Have you recently arrived here, in this world?

Even if he didn't, the keycards are magnetic.

[ Which honestly is how Erik lets himself in. His keycard's totally expired... ]

The problem is the framework that opens the doors. I'm working on it.

How are the hospitals?

[ Quite honestly, Charles has stopped even considering how Erik gets himself into and out of places. He just accepts that it's Erik and that is explanation enough. ]

Near as I can tell, they've implemented their emergency protocols and are holding their own. Though any help that can be afforded to them, should be.

[ He paused, as if taking a -literal- mental inventory of the situation before continuing. ]

Have you heard from Wanda, Billy and the others?

Not so recently anymore.

[Definitely recently compared to the people who have been here for years, though.]

[ Well, he was going to go to them as soon as he broke out, but he's thinking now maybe a better use of his skills would be to corral some criminals. ]

No.

[ And he's trying not to think about it-- they're either not near enough to send word, or nobody's trying to find Erik. Just as well, if he wasn't stuck, he'd probably be a constant moving target. ]

[Hearing an actual voice speaking so clearly will catch Nike slightly off-guard as all she can sense is the feeling and thoughts of a collective group of people in the city she is in along with the voice of the sky and wind as well. It'll take her a moment to turn her full attention to the voice that was giving out important details over the situation, and once he was done she will try to speak back mentally.]

No need to apologize, if anything else it is refreshing to hear an actual voice giving me valuable information than playing clue with the information I am able to access through my surroundings.

Thanks for finding the source of the wicked energy I was able to pick up. It's pretty small compare to the rest of the city as a whole, so I had no idea it is due to something like that. Are you saying these escapees are those in the prisons of these cities?

[ It was always a treat, when someone he had yet to be introduced too didn't fuss at him for these sort of wide band broadcasts. Perhaps a shade of that relief warmed his tone as he responded to her. ]

You'd picked up on it? Very clever and quite useful ability you have. [ Despite all the years around mutations, both back home and here in this world, Charles still found them fascinating.

Though he quickly sobered. ]

There the ones I'm most concerned about. What I've been able to pick up from their minds ties them back to those prisons.

I'm not usually someone they contact, Erik. [ Charles reminded his friend, trying to avoid heightening Erik's concern. ]

I wasn't sure, as I'm afraid I don't believe we've been properly introduced?

[ He was going to give the whole name exchange ramp up another attempt. ]

No, we haven't. Not until you butted into my fucking head.

I'm fine. [ Charles said, to reassure. Because all things considered he wasn't in any immediate danger. ]

Though if this goes on much longer I may need a bit of help getting down from my office. [ He admitted.

Because while he had all his basic necessities on the one floor of the Foundation, without the use of the elevator he was ... stuck. ]

[ Charles supposed he could apologize, again, but figured that it might be best to just ... try to get on past that one unfortunate incident. ]
