[ Good evening, Mask or Menace! Jaime's back, and while he doesn't look any older, he certainly looks tired and a little sour to boot, like someone just fed him a nintendo switch cartridge real bitter pill. It was a long month. ]

So, um... hey! I'm back. That was definitely the longest I've been ported out for, but I gotta ask: what happened while I was gone? Because I got back, and all of a sudden, like, half of the people I know are gone. Dick's gone, Tadashi's gone again, Fuu's gone, Sarissa's gone, so's my Mom...

Was this just the Porter, or what?

[ It probably is - people tend to leave in waves - but it's left him feeling a little shellshocked, and it's worth searching for answers at the very least. He raises a hand to rub at the back of his neck, playing a little with the hair at the nape. ]

Um, anyway. Good to see you guys who are still here. And for all the newbies, I'm Jaime. Nice to meet you.

I mean, it's not that anyone who's been here long as I have isn't used to it by now, but... it's weird coming back to it, is all.

Yeah, I hear you. I'd be pretty upset if I came back from a port-out and Bunny was gone.

[A beat.]

Know it's been awhile, but my door's always open if you need anything.

[Their acquaintanceship has always been generally pretty casual, and he knows Jaime is more than capable of taking care of himself, but Kotetsu can't help feeling a sense of responsibility toward the younger Hero when their paths do cross.]

I appreciate the thought.

[ Which means no, he's not coming by - as much as the offer's nice, Kotetsu knows Jaime well enough by now to know how reticent he can be about these things. Going up to someone and just spilling his guts isn't his style, unless that person happens to be one of his parents. ]

But at least with someone like Bun - like Barnaby, you'll get to see him when you go back home. Same goes for my mom.

[He offers a smile. They're among the longest-term imPorts at this point, so it's not really necessary to say much; they both understand what it's like.]

All the more reason to enjoy the time you have with 'em though, right?

's right. And not to take them for granted. And, I think, make sure you got something prepared for when it's your time to go.

Something prepared? Like, those 'hey I'm probably ported out'-type letters, you mean?

[He's been here long enough that he should really consider it, but it's always been kind of a depressing, morbid sort of thought. This part of his life disappearing for good, like it never even happened. Kotetsu's always been bad at confronting those sorts of feelings.]

Yeah. Make sure people know all of the important stuff, make sure that people will take care of whatever you've got going on, like any pets or anything, divy out your stuff. Like a will, but without dying.
