So, um... hey! I'm back. That was definitely the longest I've been ported out for, but I gotta ask: what happened while I was gone? Because I got back, and all of a sudden, like, half of the people I know are gone. Dick's gone, Tadashi's gone again, Fuu's gone, Sarissa's gone, so's my Mom...

Was this just the Porter, or what?

[ It probably is - people tend to leave in waves - but it's left him feeling a little shellshocked, and it's worth searching for answers at the very least. He raises a hand to rub at the back of his neck, playing a little with the hair at the nape. ]

Sure. But I think I'll take my first time as, like, celebration, or at some dumb college party, or whatever. Drowning your sorrows sounds like more of an old dude thing.

Why would I jump from dogs to a mole? No, he's my dog. A shared-custody dog, but at least half mine.

Nah, with a friend. We found him together, so figured we'd take care of him together. Shared custody with an ex would be much messier.

Yeah, see, there's the problem. He totally doesn't. He doesn't love Ted more, exactly, but he's pretty undiscerning. I think he loves everyone he meets as much as he loves me.

I admire him more and more.

See, and that's the thing: I'll bring him over one day, and you can express your admiration personally, and he still won't like you any more than anyone else.
