They're actually making texting kind of hard, but it's better than video or audio right now. He's not letting this freak show go on display in front of the entire network. But he does need help from them, sssoooo... ]

[ Then Kyle will selfishly take the opportunity to be angry. His grip on Inanna grows tighter as he lets all the pain and pity and frustration he hasn't had the chance to unload since coming back here. There wasn't time to wallow, but now there is. ]

Okay... [ It's sweet of Inanna to offer, but despite this rather dramatic night of wailing, he is not one to stay stuck in a rut for long. Helping others and proving to himself and others that he can defy his fate as a tool for destruction. That way he doesn't have to depend on others so much. They can depend on him.

Taking a deep breath, he loosens his grip on Inanna and leans back to grab the bottle off his coffee table. ]

[ He'll take it into consideration when he sits back down on the couch, long claws wrapped around the bottle. Then Kyle takes another swig and sets the liquor back down on his leg. ]

You two don't have to stick around—Think I'm gonna watch some TV 'til I fall asleep.

[ And it generally looks a lot less pathetic when there's no an audience witnessing it, sooo... ]

[Inanna just laughs and sits down beside him.]

Don't you know that drinking alone takes all the fun out of it? You just drown in your own thoughts like that.

No, I didn't. [ He never drinks, so it's never been something he's had to consider. Politely, Kyle passes the bottle over to Inanna in case he wants any. ]

[They offer a smile in return and take a drink from the bottle before handing it back.]

It's especially important for your first time drinking. Best to have a friend around while you figure out what your limits are.

[ This was getting unironically and uncomfortably wholesome. Off brand, even. Attending an emergency slumber party about responsible alcohol use. But it's hard to have her Evening Star right here, and do anything but follow their light. ]
