but i think that's super messed up.

what's stopping us from figuring out to go back to our home universes, anyway? has anyone tried? has anyone actively defied the government? like, what happens?

But like I said, the government isn't to blame about our arrival. It's thanks to an AI stuck inside the Porter and the AI really likes us, so it won't send us back.

The nanites have been tapped into by hostiles in the past, using them against us to force us to follow their orders or die.

I hate them and what they can do, but it is true that they also protect us from getting sick due to some kind of radiation exposure. I refused an order by the USSR when they had invaded last year, so they turned the nanites in my system off completely. I got very sick from that, and if it continued any longer I probably would have died.

They can be used against us in other ways too. Currently there isn't a way to block all the negative effects without killing you.

When I first arrived I was very scared and fought them in a panic when they were injecting me with things. I was only 15, and I'm small for my age, but they were threatening to arrest me for it. Some of the government people are probably nice and sympathetic, but too many view us as weapons and assets... Though they would never tell you that to your face.

Be very careful is you actively do anything. Since you're a new arrival I would try to keep attention off of you for a while. It will be easier to do things unnoticed that way.

and i shouldnt have to explain being pissed that the fuckin government can control how sick i am, or what i do. and that they put mechanisms into my body that can be used to hurt me.

I agree with you. It isn't right that happens. But don't believe the government if they take credit for the abduction. They can't control what does that.

I don't know what happens if someone actively defies this government, but there have been people here for years. If there was a way out, I doubt that anyone would voluntarily stay that long.
