Third Time's the Charm [Video]
Hello, everyone. I have another question, but I'll try not to take up too much of your time.
[Unsurprisingly for anyone who's ever spoken to her, Twice is once again only halfway paying attention when she turns on the camera and sets it on a nearby table. Currently, she is busy slowly scrolling down something on a tablet computer of some sort, though it's too hard to tell what she's looking at from this angle.]
The music here, there's... a lot of it, all at once. I'm not used to that. I've been listening to different things, trying to sort out which are worth having on my-- [What's the word again?] --playlists? But it's just too much. Does anyone have any recommendations?

voice;
From what I've observed of the Network, it's only a matter of time before someone recommends the Spice Girls.
That being said, while I am not an expert on music I do have an extensive music database downloaded into my system and may be able to make suggestions. Perhaps it may help to narrow down a genre. Are you starting completely from scratch or have you gotten at least one or two songs you like?

I'm not sure. I've heard several different genres, but it's hard for me to rank them. There's just so much variety, of them and in them both.
[A pause.]
I didn't really like the death metal though.

Alternatively, you may start contemporary and work your way back. Find a "top ten" list of this year, and then each year for the past couple of years.
There's all sorts of methods, I assume.

Even at the most extreme, it could only be a hundred or so answers. Much more manageable.

You like jazz? Ella Fitzgerald's real good. I like the early rock and roll stuff too.

In any case, she thinks for a moment.]
I don't dislike what I've heard, but that hasn't been much. What about those makes them good?

If you're really into music as a thing, though, you could say that it's all real fundamental. Beginning of the genre and all that. They made up a lot of the sound that was popular through the 20th and 21st centuries.

The selection's a little... restrictive back home, though. The variety here's pretty nice.

It's as if someone mixed the sounds of a cheese grater and a particularly powerful "printer" and threw some random words to fill in the gaps.

Has there been any music you did like though?

Oh, there is also this so called "unplugged" that some artists do or did? They redo their songs without the electrical things, so that's nice.

It wasn't easy to find a music player where I was before this that lasted for long and had much variety.

Trying to narrow down is hard though. I'm holding more songs in my hand right now than I even knew existed in the world before.

[ She sends a few musical files over: some Beyonce, David Bowie, Daft Punk, FKA Twigs. That's a good spread, right? ]
