--subject seems to have no unique properties...[The video comes into focus mid-way through, featuring Zelda hunched over a desk, furiously taking notes.

She sighs after a moment, moving to pick up something from the side of her desk—a frog.]

I was really hoping there would be something special...those back home would improve speed, performance, attack...and yet, nothing. I don’t know how I’ll manage to make any useful elixir without specialized ingredients.

[She frowns, poking her amphibian specimen and laughing slightly as the frog croaked in response. She finally turns her attention to the camera.]

I don’t suppose any of you know of any animals or plants here that have special properties? Or where one might find some materials to experiment with? I would greatly appreciate any leads you might be able to provide.

Well, my dog can fly, so I guess that'd count as a special property, buuuuut I'd rather you not experiment on him.

I believe dogs are a bit different from frogs. Much more complex as well.

[A pause.]

Did you say it could fly?

Well, you did ask about animals and not frogs.

[The huge grin betrays the fact he's just teasing her.]

And yes, Ace can fly.

[She can argue much if he's only teasing...and with a valid point at that.]

Did he always have that ability or did he acquire it?

Hey, I'm only teasing. It's fine.

And as for your question, he acquired it through me when I got here. My ability is that my dog can fly.

I suppose. Teasing is rather harmless, isn't it? [There's a smile at that. No ill will.]

Well, that certainly is an interesting ability. Though with a well-trained companion I'm sure it could prove rather useful as well.

[He nods.] Just some joking among acquaintances.

[At the mention of "useful," Terry can't help but make a face.]

I'm not going to fly on his back, if that's what you're getting at.

[She laughs a bit at that suggestion.]

Oh goodness, no. He would have to be a rather large dog. I was merely thinking in terms of hunting down certain things, or retrieving items.

He's a Great Dane, so it wouldn't be the first time someone's suggested it to me.

[Terry whistles and Ace comes into frame. The black Great Dane mix is indeed a rather large dog. At her suggestion, Terry glances down at the now bored dog and rubs his chin.]

Hmmm... Training him to pick up stuff might not be a bad idea...

I...am not familiar with the breed, but--oh! He is rather...larger than I imagined.[A look of surprise as she studies his dog.]

I'm sure many tricks can be adapted to be helpful is various situations.

The question is whether or not Ace will feel like listening if I try.

[He reaches down to scratch under the dog's chin.]

So what are you doing with the frogs?

...There is only one way to know.

[She smiles before reaching for the frog currently hopping across her desk.]

Back home...frogs like these had special properties. You could use them in elixirs and potions. I've been collecting samples--ah blood samples--for testing, but so far nothing has resulted from the tests...

Are they common frogs? I don't think they do much more than croak and scare people by suddenly hopping out of bushes. There are certain types of frogs that are poisonous, they might be better suited for what you're looking for.

[She is talking about antitoxins... right?]

They are common frogs as far as I know. Back home that wouldn't have mattered.

...Where would I find these poisonous frogs?

Uuuuh the Amazon rainforest, I think.

[He scratches the back of his neck.]
