What sort of hats are you looking for?

I'm partial to top hats, but not opposed to a well-made fascinator. Independent designers/stores a plus.

I apologize if I was unclear. What I meant to ask was whether this is for something special. I'm still pretty new to this world, but from what I've seen, wearing those isn't very common here.

I'm not really common myself. But I perform on stage, and sometimes like a unique fashion statements.

What kind of performance do you do?

Magic- both the smoke-and-mirrors stuff, and the real kind. [hence the fondness for tophats, however cliche]

You do magic for entertainment? [She seems to find that kind of strange and surprising.] Where I come from, magic is mostly used as a weapon.

That's a real shame. For life to be that way, and for magic to only be utilized that way.

There was a war. A long one. Maybe things were different before that, but I don't know.

I'm a stage magician. Stage pieces, trap doors, that sort of thing.

Given the nature of my performances, you'd have to sign a non-disclosure agreement before seeing some of the detailed plans. But it's been long enough since I've had a master Carpenter that I'm flexible on arranging things.

You know, I've always wondered what the thaumaturgical fallout of transmuting an android into something small and fuzzy for a short period of time would be.

And you can very well keep on wondering, because I was being serious. I have a small collection of three, utterly asinine-looking hats.

What is it you look for in a hat, then, that makes the three you have lack in comparison?

I believe the issue is that these aren't bad enough. A store that sells more hats will likely have such varying quality, I'll be able to find even worse ones.
