[ The feed opens up to a young woman sitting behind the counter of a flower shop. Several flower arrangements are lined up behind her, some more artfully arranged - and frankly, more gorgeous - than others.

(They're works in progress, okay?) On the bright side, she's sticking to safe combinations or single-flower bouquets, rather than branching out. ]

Hey, everyone. [ She beams into the camera; first impressions matter, after all. ] I've gotta ask, especially if you've been here a while: what's one thing you wish you'd known when you first got here?

I'm no stranger to parallel universes - trust me, living in Central City will do that to you - but it's still kind of surreal, you know? This doesn't have to be anything life-changing. It can be something small like, oh... I don't know, your new favorite coffee place?

( If she could get headaches, she'd have a migraine right about now. )

Good to hear! ( Ah, there it is. Looking sheepishly at her, Kara switches the feed to private and tucks a strand of hair behind an ear. ) No, it's okay.

I've met you before. Either in an alternate timeline... or further ahead in yours, I'm guessing. My name's Kara Danvers. But your team knew me as Supergirl.

Not yet. Given the way my week's gone, I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

[ Oh!! No wonder. Iris beams, noting the encryption. So these can be private. ]

Supergirl! Of course. Yeah, I think you met future-me. I know the Flash's crossed over, but the reverse hasn't happened just yet.

If you were here before, you're going to hear about it, too. I should ask what I got up to sometime, for science.

( Her expression warms, as she's gladdened to see their previous rapport seems easy to recreate. )

I think so, too! But you're pretty nice, no matter which version I talk to. He did about... wow, pretty much a year ago. Saved my neck more than once, the first time without even knowing my name. He's one heck of a hero.

He'll finally liven up with you here, I think.

[ Considering how warm and bubbly Kara is, Iris doubts that any of those memories would be terrible. ]

Thank you, but you make it really easy. [ And that sounds like her Barry too. Iris's expression softens significantly, ] He sure is. For the record, he's said some pretty amazing things about you too. I'm glad you guys had each other over here.

Hopefully it's all good stuff! And uh one of them wasn't like an evil mastermind, or, you know. Something. Like that.

( That's her chiefmost worry, really. Ever since Barry had told her there's a world out there where everybody's evil, it's hard not to.

Still, she's going to stay positive! And Iris makes being nice right back so easy. )

So do you, for the record. Still, I mean. You always have. ( Kara notes that, and her chest fills with warmth. She's really glad that Barry's got her here with him. ) Well, I'll have to thank him next time I see him. I won't lie, having him here makes it feel a bit more like home. Like I belong.

How do you like it here so far?

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

[ An almost inaudible "awww" escapes Iris's lips. Gosh, Kara is way too nice to her. To the point where she really wishes she remembered meeting someone so super!! Future Iris really lucked out. ]

It's been pretty good, thanks. Like, surprisingly so considering it's a new world without any way to get back... [ She laughs, resting a hand under her chin, ] But you and Barry are here and that more than makes up for it.

( If she thinks this is cute, Iris should tell Kara that she's also a reporter! There'd be a plate of sticky buns and lots of chatter involved. )

I'm glad! Cisco and Sara are here, too. It is pretty nice having all of you here.

( She's just a bit less homesick this way. )

I'm still blown away by just how many heroes your Earth has.

You know, I don't think I've met Sara yet either, but I'm excited to meet her.

[ Future Iris has quite the support system, she's starting to realize! ]

You and me both. I'm glad they're there when we need them, but I couldn't have guessed that the particle accelerator would give birth to so many of them. [ And supervillains, really. ]

She's pretty badass for a human! If she and my sister teamed up, they'd be unstoppable.

( Two badass ladies? Kara wouldn't want to win against them. )

So that same event led to all the metas that came around? I didn't know that. It's cool, seeing what they can do. So unique from the aliens on my Earth.

I don't know about all, but definitely more than just the Flash.

[ She remembers Hawkgirl, vaguely, and the whole thing with the Legends, but so far, metas in Central City can be traced back to that explosion. ]

Based on what I've heard, your aliens are pretty cool too. But if I had to bet, I'd guess that your Earth has metas too. Probably dormant, or like me, with "ordinary" kind of powers.

Wow! There's only two on my Earth who I've met so far.

( Neither Silver Banshee nor Livewire had been particularly nice, but she keeps that to herself for now. )

Dormant? I didn't know it was genetic. That's actually pretty awesome. And there's a few humans I personally know with ordinary powers.

On your Earth and mine. The love humans are capable of giving literally saved my life once. Sort of.

Did you wanna hang out sometime? I'd like to know you better!

Yeah, I think it can be? [ She laughs, ] You'd really have to ask Cisco and Caitlin. I try to keep up, but I've still got a massive backlog of science reading.

[ None of which she'll finish anytime soon. She can already tell. Iris immediately brightens at the idea of hanging out, nodding - ] Yes please! I'm sure you're busier than I am right now, so why don't you tell me when you're free and we'll get together then?

I used to find my sister's science fair stuff so boring. Because my dad was a scientist, and... well, what we had back on Krypton was on a different level. More advanced, I'd thought, until I met Barry and the other metas on my Earth.

( She might have joined the science guild like her dad, as much as she'd wanted to be like her mother.

Either way, Iris assenting to hang out with her has her stoked. A broad grin appears across her face. )

Awesome! How about two nights from now, around 7? Are you a karaoke fan, or would something like getting together for coffee be more your style?

For all we know, it really could be.

[ But karaoke! The mere mention distracts her from whatever tangent she was about to embark on. ]

We should do karaoke. As much as I like coffee, it gets a little old when summoning it is your superpower.

Awesome! I do too, honestly.

( Seriously, she's not gone out for karaoke in months. She grins, her excitement showing through. )

Not a bad superpower, though. I bet my boss would spawn strawberry danishes at will. And great! I'm looking forward to it.

Then it's settled! You, me, and the best karaoke bar around.

[ Or non-alcoholic karaoke place. Whatever's got the best song selections around, in all honesty – and Iris really couldn't ask for anyone better to hang out with. ]

I'll see you then, Iris. Let's knock their socks off.

( Non-alcoholic is fine by her, too. She's very excited to get out for a change and just hang out with someone from a world she's more familiar with. )
