Lucifer is gone. He's left this universe to seek the next adventure, among other things.

[A sigh, albeit a quiet one. As rude as Lucifer often was, she couldn't help but feel the loss of him. She gets the feeling she's not the only one.]

Revīvēscere is staying, and Lucifer has entrusted it to me. I will look after it to the best of my abilities, as its new proprietor.

[It's a bit of a promise, really - not that he'd be anything but slightly amused at that. But, sod it, it's what she's going to do nonetheless.]

Do feel free to stop by for a drink or two - and please, be patient while I get settled into my new role.

I've had experience in serving, and in managing the place already. I just wish the walls wouldn't shift around so much.

[On the bright side, they never do seem to run out of alcohol, no matter how much they pour...]

I don't think so. I'll do the rest on my own.

[It's the way she'd have done so, anyway - and besides, it's what Lucifer would have wanted.]

Yeah? Not happy about the idea of notoriety in advertising?

I'd just rather do this myself.

Ah - a noble goal, that. Very impressive, if you can manage it. I'll be sure to be by for a drink. What would you recommend, as the new owner?

I know I will miss him.

[He was witty, and interesting, and he had made Cinders realize there was so much more than her own life.]

[He wasn't exactly what she'd call a friend, but there was just something about him. She was sure he got that a lot.]

Ironic. I would think the archetypal figure of rebellion wouldn't go for hierarchy.

[Cinders shrugs, unconcerned with Earth mythos.]

There was an opportunity, and I seized it.

[It helped that she'd ended up liking him.]

[And it doesn't. From the porter, all he needs is a taxi and he is walking inside, looking around curiously. Gabrielle is easy to find. He offers her a soft, consoling smile. He knew what it was to lose someone he as close to.]

[It's relatively early in the evening, which means there aren't many customers. Cinders smiles back - a little sadly, but it's not too bad, given that she barely knew him. Still, there's a sense of regret; she gets the feeling that his universe will miss him, too.]

You don't have to "my lady" me, you know. And you - do you prefer Jon, or Lord Snow?

[ Even if Lucifer hadn't been the most conventional of bosses, he certainly sounded important - not just to Cinders but to the community as a whole. ]

[Honestly, she wouldn't put it past him - but Lucifer was the sort of person who would curse you to your face.]
