It doesn't. It can bring anyone from any time point, even the dead. And it has brought many great evils as well. Which one did it bring this time?

For that reason, it will be very difficult to leave.

A being called Morgoth. He will say his name is Melkor, but that is the name he held when he was first created and free of foul deeds.

I understand why you'd feel that. But sadly it's not our decision if we leave or not. And are you certain he is from a time when he was evil but not before then?

There must be a cycle; a reason. For it to happen at random does this world little good if we are meant to fight.

I do not know of this Lucifer. {Actually they are practically the same being. Morgoth is Tolkien's Satan.}

Probably best that you don't. He - or she, I suppose - is some sort of fallen heavenly being. King of Hell, that kind of thing.
