[There's a little girl grinning at the camera when the feed clicks on, waving enthusiastically. Her face and hands are covered in three different kinds of glitter, but luckily her adorable sweatshirt (it has giraffes on it) has miraculously managed to stay clean.]

Greetings, fellow heroes! My name's Mabel. I don't have a codename yet but I'm working on it! Along with-- [She reaches off screen to pull out a square of fabric covered in stickers and glitter.] --this! It's gonna be my cape when it's done.

Anyway, since I'm new to being a hero, I'm open to any advice my more experienced superfriends may have! Whether it's about capes or masks or where the craft store is. Especially that last part, since I'm almost out of stickers.

--and if anybody in house eighteen sees some pigs in the kitchen, don't worry. Those are the Waddles Juniors and they're with me. If they're down there they're just hungry.

Is your costume meant to have a theme?

You don't need all of those things to be a hero! Though the clothes are important.

[She's getting strong Mako vibes here.]
housenurse: ('cuz I love little fishes)

It is, but being safe is more important. You're very young, and glitter and stickers aren't very protective!

I love it! Your cape is great! It sparkles and everything!

You're going to make a great superhero!

I bet you could fight aliens and robots and everything.

[Wow, even Starscream would be jealous of that cape. Metalhawk smiles as he watches her introduce herself, unable to really keep from answering.]

I have a feeling we all have strict competition now that you're here.

I don't know much about superheroes myself except that they have to have powers that coincide with their name.

Oh, oh, oh! I have plenty of cape advice! You want it long enough to be flowy and swishy, but not long enough to get stuck in a door or your locker.

And you want to use something that hangs nicely! Starchy capes are a major faux pas!

Isn't it better the cape not be... flashy? You can't take people by surprise wearing that.

[...wow that's painfully cute. And for once he's not going to be a douchebag because how can you be a dick to little girls?]

I dunno where the craft store is. But for a cape or mask, maybe just try something that's comfortable. If you're in Heropa, it gets pretty hot. Maybe a hat'll help hide your face and keep you shaded, too.

[because wow he's not going to tell her to go hunt crime at night.]

Don't worry, it's an easy mistake to make!

Can you get some silk, or if that's too expensive, maybe some crepe or satin? Those are really good! They even make some with the glitter. Already. In it.

That's right! That way you won't have to worry about messy glue weighing down your swish, either!

[Trucy has been a cape professional for some time, and loves to share the knowledge.]

Why thank you! Always happy to help another cape enthusiast!

Oh, I've only had to make one. This one! [She turns to show off her blue cape with the suit of cards motif.]

When I was little I wore a pink one, but I changed to blue when I had to make a bigger one. I used the pink one as a model and had to learn how to sew and everything.
