It is normal to not remember a thing about this place upon returning to our own universe, correct? Because now I think I finally understand what everyone meant when I was told time back home is essentially put on pause while we remain here.

I am not sure if I will ever get accustomed to alternate universes. This one in particular. But it is reassuring to know that my being here does not change the course of action back home. This world is a vacation of sorts--

I'll have to ask if he did. He's mentioned it to me in the past, so I am hoping he's made some headway into that.

Lance told me you all thought I had been gone for good.

And yes. As I've said, I believe we should have a meeting. I'm assuming you, Hunk, and Lance have remained here in my absence, correct?

We were worried. You had said before you left in the middle of a battle.

[ He's actually concerned, brows knit as he adjusts the video screen. It takes a moment, before he changes the subject.]

I've been looking around for a place. I think I found a few good houses in Heropa near Hunk, and I found a mover.

I think it's best to discuss it in person. Lance said the swear-in is taking place in Maurtia Falls, so I am inviting everyone to my place for a talk.

In Heropa? Is there where everyone's agreed to live?

I haven't talked to everyone yet. I figured I'd tour a few places in each city and lay them out. I might have found a house on the beach though.

[ah...she had been kind of hoping after the meeting they could go together, but if her timing is that off...]

If you're looking for someone to assist you in touring a few places, I can come assist you. I've...been thinking about leaving my job here, so I will have a lot of free time to spare.

Well I've signed up for something there, though I don't think it starts til a bit later. We could get a meeting set up and then head out together?

But I can't say this world is exactly a vacation. In the past, imPorts were permanently killed. Certainly that happened before our time, but it did happen.

[she frowns. honestly compared to where she's from, this place seems a lot less stuck in all-encompassing warfare, but--]

I did not mean to sound overly flippant of this world. Where I come from, we are in a near-constant state of intergalactic warfare, and I am aware that we were brought here to be heroes.

What had happened to these imPorts? This is the first I've heard of such a tragedy.

I know what you mean. it's like that in many worlds. [ but so many people look at this one as "something that doesn't matter" that... considering everything that happened, it shouldn't be looked at as such ] But you are only a Hero if you wish to be, in the end. You can enjoy the downtime.

It's part of this world's history. In 1985, the Porter was found in the Atlantic and imPorts started arriving the next year. In 2008, a Russian scientist - though his loyalty to USSR was very questionable - engineered what he called a Death Ray. Seven imPorts were sent to investigate his island, most of them being teenagers, and they were all killed in such a way that Continuum could not be used to revive them. Though the man was captured and sent to justice, an imPort called Benedict Katzenberg executed him.

This caused a nation-wide situation where imPort actions started to be questioned. There was a decline of costumed heroism and vigilante activity across the board and while imPorts remained celebrated, local heroes began to act out more, and independently from the law. This was the reason why the government came up with the "Registered" and "Unsettled" status to all imPorts, but eventually all imPort were returned to their home worlds and the native ones eventually retired or disappeared by 2011.

No. That's hail. Kinda. Snow's a precipitation of small ice crystals.

I mean, I'm not a fan going by what little I've experienced, but it's also... I dunno'. I just like being by the water and the beach and stuff. I can't go home here, and Florida's not anywhere near the same as home, but it's--

It doesn't matter that much. I can just teleport down if I want to.
