Hmm. Well, I wasn't entirely sure how I was going to start this? But it seems like just getting straight to the point is the best way to do it. In all honesty, it seems a little redundant to even approach the network as a whole.

But they say anniversaries are worth celebrating, don't they? It's been two years since I first arrived in the City and seven months, I believe, since we arrived in Heropa from there. Needless to say, a lot has changed. I tried to grow my hair out for a while, for one. It didn't really work out. I suppose I could give it another shot? Maybe long hair and I are just not meant to be.

When I first arrived in the City, it was easy to get used to. There were so many of my friends from home already there (and Eridan) and now there's only three of us. Most of the friends I made while in the City have gone, too. You know, I never thought I would miss Julian or Davesprite, but here we are.

In any case, here's to another year. Oh, and according to Kanaya's maths, I'm also seventeen today. If anything, I hope I'm here another year so that I can at least celebrate in Europe next year.

Kanaya's math aside, I didn't entirely know how to feel that I hadn't gone home. It was very sobering, realizing that I might never go home again.
