Um, hey. So Alex and I finally found a spot we want to put up a permanent structure on. We... were hoping we could ask a big favour of each of you, that is, uh, to help us get it up? We know it's a lot to ask but it would help us out a lot if you guys could use your powers to... help. -- Yeah, I'm talking about the power of construction, Archie. It's okay if any of you are busy or whatever, too, just let us know so we can figure some other stuff out.

Uh, the place we picked is in Shenandoah National Park, in Virginia. We're thinking of a Hogwarts situation. I'll attach some pictures we took.

Um, hmm. It's, uh. It's super destructive? I can control fire and lightning and ice and wind and all that but it's primarily used for murder. THANKFULLY, I'm also really smart so I can channel it into other things. Don't worry about it. Don't question it.

Then there's illusory charm-y stuff. I can mess with a person's senses, if I think it'll make them happy. So I could like, enchant the roof so you can see what the sky looks like outside. Make everyone see and feel and hear an impossible waterfall that runs through the floor even though there's nothing actually there. That's the kind of stuff I was gonna help Alex with? Key-wise. I can guide her through making it something else? Sort of thing. Am I making sense or sounding useful at all?

you're making sense and sound super useful. the key thing is definitely still a thing. we're still sort of figuring out how to ward the place, too. could you help with making it hard to find? i can't do glamour magic at all, but alex's seidr is all about change and fucking with perception.

I think for Magnus Chase, growing a girl a treehouse is basically like giving her an engagement ring. It's like, "I want to spend all my time with you, but in an outdoorsy, nature-y sort of way where we don't have to buy into capitalism or vanity". Right? God, I'm so right.

I don't know. I'm not sure. Maybe? I've never tried to ward people away from-- oh, you know what I could do? I could make people think seeing bears or something and get all nervous and leave. Or-- wait, no, I could make it so they see a sign that points them in the opposite direction and the sign says something like free ice cream?

I'm really good at sleep magic? Making people dream what I want them to dream. Worst case scenario, people who wander too close to the treehouse might end up feeling so sleepy that they need to lay down and have a nap, but then they totally have a dream about something they totally had to do back home so they wake up real quick and rush off or something.

I'm not saying this because I think if Alex is in charge of wards and defenses she'll just decapitate everyone but I'm not NOT saying that.

Hm, I've decorated the house like I would back home if I had the time. But beyond that, I haven't really done much and it still doesn't feel quite like...home. I don't think there's anything I could do to make it like that completely.
