[For a second after the feed fizzles into life, Mike just sits there, blinking at his device in urgent confusion. Normally it would be astonishment, but the kid's been through hell and (part of the way) back, and it shows on his face; this is going to be the coolest once he gets a good night's sleep under his belt, but right now - ]

Um. [He pushes a pair of dust-coated goggles up into his hair, and coughs. The scarf below his chin seems coated with a similar substance.] Is there an Indiana here?

[A brief pause. He knows how dumb that question sounds.]

I really need to call someone.

Really creepy castle. Luke got kidnapped by a rogue archaeologist one time and Leia, Sana and I had to go rescue him from the Citadel.

[A beat. Han leans in closer and says, in deadly serious tones:]

Learn from our mistakes, kid. If a place has the word screaming in its name and has an all-black color scheme? Run the other way.

[Okay, he's not saying he's interested, but he does lean in a little farther, brows furrowed.]

Who's Sana?

Oh. Uh.

[Oh, boy, apparently Goldfinch's movies didn't quite go that far. Han pauses for a moment, trying to figure out how to best describe Sana. Then he sighs.]

We faked getting married once for a con. She tracked me down to get her cut of the money after I ran away with it. [And it was awkward for everyone involved.]

[micycle]

[Woah, now. This one actually surprises him.]

Did Leia know about- [Oh, wait, shit.] You did marry Leia in the end, didn't you?!

[carbonfrozen]

She found out when Sana tracked me down. [He waves a hand, dismissively.] But that was a while ago, and anyway Sana's not really my wife. Like I said, we just faked getting married and she wanted her money.

[A pause. Right, time to talk about the bantha in the room.]

I—kriff, kid. Leia and I—we're not. We're not there yet. Last thing I remember was [getting frozen in carbonite] Bespin. [And that one word is loaded with memories and terror, all by itself.] And the last thing she remembers is being on the Falcon before that.

You're not even to the end yet?!

[Mike is completely blown away by this revelation, and has to sit back from the camera. He knows more than Han Solo, he realizes, brimming with excited astonishment. This has just gone from the worst day of his life, to one of the best. At last for the moment.]

If you're talking about Endor, we haven't gotten there yet. But there's a guy here, Poe Dameron, he's from about thirty years into my future.

[Just not going to mention Kylo Ren to this small child who is apparently having the best day. No need to talk about his kid who fell to the Dark Side, haha. Ha.]

And that's not even talking about the ones before our time—around the time of the Clone Wars.

Some people who died at Scarif trying to get the Death Star plans out. There's more, but I don't know everyone from my galaxy.
