[ With so many of them here it's impossible for those same modes of thinking not to follow along with them. Thrawn has actually done his level best not to comment on any of the politics that have come from that galaxy far, far away. He has his own opinions on Jedi, Sith and everything in between. However his is the unique position of having a homeworld that has not, at least not in his lifetime, been ravaged by war.

But all of that is for another place and time. This is a much simpler, and yet so much more difficult post.

When the video starts it's simply Thrawn in that same sitting room. His hands, sans the gloves Hux gave him, resting on a knee. ]

[ He immediately frowns slightly, looking a bit uncomfortable. ]

I may be arriving at this conclusion through flawed reasoning...

[ That look of being thoroughly uncomfortable intensifies. ]

...but I believe I have made a grave mistake. While there is no "fixing" said mistake...

...what emotional means are there to show actual repentance?

[ This all felt so...off. Chise hadn't known Thrawn long but she picked up fairly early on that he was proud. Not arrogant, but someone who carried an air about him that demanded respect. The sort that didn't admit to personal failings or personal much anything else easily.

Having seen some of Eli's memories, though, he... somehow suspects this has something to do with Vanto.

Which is weird, and he doesn't want to think about it, but he saw some other stuff in Eli's memories that he's curious about. That he thinks Thrawn might have information on. ]

Trust me when I say I'm not in the habit of doing this, but I have some experience with apologies - [ He and Hera have a great relationship but that doesn't mean he's never fucked up over the course of ten years - he definitely has. ] and there's a couple of things I'd like to know from you.

You can try apologizing.

Since you can't fix it, you have to find ways to live with the guilt and nightmares.

If the people you've hurt can't forgive you and don't feel safe around you, you can respect that and give them space.
