Flat Robotic Voice: (ala speech-to-text) Do Jedi protect people or would you let innocent people get hurt for some idea of "greater good"?

Kanan Jarrus: Protecting innocents is the greater good. That's what we're called to do, as Jedi. The Force has granted us these gifts, these abilities. In my world, Force-sensitives can do things other people can't. And so it's our job to protect those who can't protect themselves.

Robotic Voice: Anti-Jedi. Would you protect people with your life, or would you let them die for some "greater good"?

General Grievous: It is not my duty to protect the people of Earth yet you will condemn me for not sacrificing myself for just any cause.

I notice those questions aren't exactly the same. Nice use of reptilian tactics there, making the wording similar enough they sound the same, while the person who answered the first question had a much lower bar to sound 'good'.

For the record, I don't think it's fair to blame all Jedi for what a few did, but Grievous is acting out of rage and grief. He is a good person, and even though he said it's not his duty to protect people, he did protect me once when he didn't have to.

No, he only fought him. That doesn't help you get to know a person. Heck, even studying a person for decades and putting a tracking chip in their heads will only tell you what they do, not why they do it.

And I don't think he's right to blame all Jedi. Or all Hux for that matter. But you can't just tell someone they're wrong, you have to lay the evidence out where they'll find it and let them come to the conclusion on their own.

Then what's the point of this? Getting him riled up all over again?

You make it sound like I'm his minion.

I'm not. I just don't think endlessly needling and poking at someone's post-war PTSD is really going to make anyone safer, and I don't want their old war to get a brutal reenactment here.

I'm not, I just...when I was at my first swear in, things went wrong. He protected me when I was covered in bite wounds. I know this vendetta thing is bad, but I know there has to be a good side to him, too.

I'm part of the problem? You're the one keeping him on task! With your 'hey, Grievous, remember the Jedi? They're totally here, and so much cooler than you' posts.

You know, in my world, my species invaded Earth 200 years ago, and humans still haven't noticed. Mostly because we kept them distracted. Now, I'm not saying to distract Grievous with downloadable games and attempts at seduction, mostly because he keeps sticking to his cyborg form and I think the claws would just frustrate him more, and I don't know if he's into the whole interspecies thing, but I am saying that if people divert his attention away from the Jedi for long enough, he'll forget about them.

See how I am already being condemned and judged, just as I said.

Humans, or any other species, will have some foolhardy enough to sacrifice when they could have instead thought of a better strategy amd return to the fight later, triumphant. I am no fool to sacrifice myself for just anyone or an thing. The risks must be weighed and considered.

As I also said, I do not use this Jedi Force, yet I am being compared as if I am somehow expected to do as they recklessly do.

Well, yeah, this guy's being a shit stirrer and a douche. Although, Jedi Force or not, you're still a lot more capable than most of the people here, and you destroyed the giant butterflies pretty efficiently.

If he's going to try and paint you as a villain here, you'll just have to prove him wrong.

You have known me for some months. I know who this anoymous person is and they firstly provoked me as I was walking by, threatening me with his weapon, which I then took from him. Despite my returning it, he continues to harrass and goad, regardless of knowing nothing of the Jedi aside from what lies they have told him,

Yeah, I know who it is, then, and he's an asshole. I don't think anyone can stop him from being an asshole, I just meant you'd have to prove him wrong to everyone else so they know he's full of shit. He wants them to think you're the bad guy? Then make it undeniable that you're definitely not a bad guy. You don't have to risk your life for that. You can make planned, calculated efforts to do things that are beneficial to the people here with no real risk to you so he just looks like an ass every time he tries to pull his shit.

Your advice is appreciated, however I am certain that no matter what I say or do, he will not change his mind. He judged me at first sight.
