[ Adachi looks absolutely miserable; red nose, puffy eyes. He literally hasn't been sick in two years thanks to the nanites, and it seems like it's all catching up to him at once. That's not what the camera is focused on, however; it's focused on his Poochyena, who's curled up next to him with her head resting on his leg. Riza looks just as miserable, whining softly as a small bag of ice sits balance precariously on her head in an effort to keep her temperature down. ]

H-hey, I need help. With what's going on now with powers, I think Riza's been affected, and I don't know what to do.

[ Riza let out another soft whine, shifting slightly so she could give the camera the saddest puppy eyes possible. ]

[when has he literally EVER CHILLED. he releases crobat and is climbing on it when the video cuts out.]

[ Adachi gave the cut video a bland look, before gently stroking Riza’s head. ]

Your uncle is an idiot.

[ Riza let out a soft boof of agreement, and Adachi almost settled back to hold her until Archie arrived. Until he realized there was going to be a real problem he needed to address, especially with the way Archie took off. He grabbed up his communicator, texting real fast: ]

Use the door you ass!

[there's a loud thud, which may or may not have been archie slamming into the door from running too fast. there's also a muffled fuck!

then calm, normal knocking. which slowly gets a little more intense knock knock knock knock KNOCK KNOCK BANG BANG BANG BANG]

[ Archie please... ]

[ Adachi grumbled his way downstairs, Riza tucked securely under an arm, opening the door and preparing himself for the hurricane that was going to come blowing in. ]

[he's bent over huffing and puffing because he ran the last, like, mile and only just gets out between breathes:] R...RIZA!!!

[ Riza let out a whine at how loud he was being, and Adachi just fixed him with a dull look. ]

Do you mind? She's not dying, she's just sick.

[h2no]

[he lets out a shaky breath, reaching out to give her a pat.]

She's uncomfortable. That's bad enough, what if she uses Ice Beam by accident? Or Bite?

Believe me, she's out of it enough not to be doing much of anything.

[ Adachi motioned Archie into the house, going over to the table to set Riza down. She flopped onto the table, looking like she wasn't in the mood to be anywhere but on a bed, but she was dealing with being on the table. ]

[ Adachi reached over, running his hand gently over her back. ]

Are any of yours having trouble too?

[he leans down in front of the table, putting his hand on riza's neck fluff to pet gently.]

No... you okay if I let out Mightyena? She might feel better if she sees her dad.

[ Adachi waved a hand. ]

It's fine; go for it. Anything to help her out.

[he releases the larger dog before adachi's even finished saying anything.

mightynea rests its chin on the table, sniffing at riza and whines pitifully. daughter :(]

[ Riza let out a faint whine herself, shuffling over so she could easily nose touch with her dad. ]

Whatever happened when the porter broke must have caused some random issues with our powers. I haven’t experienced anything really noticeable, but—

[ He cut himself off, turning away as an awful sounding cough ripped its way out of his mouth. ]

[archie ignores adachi's coughing to watch the two pokémon. he keeps he had on riza's neck fluff and exchanges a look with mightyena.]

Maybe it's because she was born here...

[ Adachi had to struggle a moment to pull himself together, clearing his throat shakily. ]

M-maybe. Maybe you’re just lucky.

[h2no]

Maybe I'm just stubborn.

[he shrugs.]

Alright. Guess I'll give healing her a shot, yeah?

[sleight_of_hand]

All right, just... be careful.

[ If powers were being weird... well, hopefully this wouldn't back fire. ]

[h2no]

Careful, now. Almost sounds like you care.

[he does try, though, keeping his hand on riza still. mightyena snuffs at her worriedly.]

[ Riza's looking a little better after a visit from Archie. Still not 100%, but better than before. She let out a soft boof at the question, her tail sweeping back and forth lazily. ]

Yeah. She's a Pokemon; a Poochyena. She's got special abilities that are different from normal dogs.

[ Look, he's seen a dog summon a Persona. Dogs that shoot ice beams out of their mouths isn't a stretch. ]

[this is pretty new to jon, even though he works with paranormal research. funnily enough most of it is fake and people don't usually have cool magic dogs. bummer as hell.]

Pokemon- right, Archie and Blue's world. I thought the dogs would look more like that large, orange and red one Blue has. [arcanine. he didn't realize arcanine could make fire yet] Well, she looks better at least.

[It seems that Adachi isn't the only one to be suffering as of late. Jack is in a similar predicament but as of right now, he can't seem to shift back to human. The pirate currently has gills and bright orange fins but he seems to be healing up quite well. Those familiar dark eyes have some equally dark bags under them thanks to this sudden illness.

He's sprawled across his bed as he peeks into the screen. There's true worry etched upon his face.]

Riza and you both look pretty ghastly. Do you think all this has to do with our...powers?

[Jack rests his head upon his forearm as he cuddles up against his pillow.]

Keep her nice and cool. She might be running a fever.

[ Yeah, he's not letting Riza go out of his sight. She's more than happy to settle on his lap his lap too, curling herself up into a ball and letting out happy noises as Adachi pet her. ]

Dunno; I think the people that have been here a long time are the ones getting really sick.
