LUNAR INTERLUDE 3: VIDEO | Backdated to the end of the event on the 20th
(( cw: Discussion of character death. ))
[ Lucretia looks tired, and sad. Her cameras focused on her face he can't really see very much about going on behind her, but if you pay attention you can definitely hear other people around and there is a glimpse of a cop nearby.
And the other, pervasive, inescapable sound is Magnus Burnsides wailing his heartbroken heart out.
This whole scenario was exactly what she was afraid of, but she's in no mood to say "I told you so". And, considering it was caused by one of the Grand Relics, has no right to. ]
I have... news.
The plant infection of Maurtia Falls is over. We've managed to stop it from spreading, and hopefully things will get back to normal soon. I'm sorry for all the trouble and grief it caused, but please rest assured the worst is over.
[ She sighs, and then straightens her self as if steeling herself to say what she has to next. ]
I'm sorry to say that we did not come out of this unscathed. Archie... [ She lets out a breath. ] Archie is dead.
From what I understand, there is a high chance the nanites may bring him back in a matter of days, but that does not mean this is not a tragedy. If he doesn't… if he is truly gone then you have my condolences and I hope that you can all take the time you need to grieve.
[ Magnus’s wailing voice is still heard and is joined by Merle, "OH HOW WE MISS HIM!! THAT--" There’s a pause. "ARCH DUKE FERDINAND".
Lucretia's shuts her eyes tight for a second before she moves to shut off the communicator as she simultaneously turns. ]

No, though if one of the Grand Relics is here, I'm reinstating it. The purpose of the Bureau is to hunt down the Grand Relics - like the Philosopher's Stone. Which is no longer in Archie's possession -- that is what I meant by safe. We tried to get it from him without hurting him but... things did not...
[ She holds a hand up to her eyes. She's barely holding herself together and if when she removes her hand it almost could be her wiping her eyes well. She's not calling attention to it. ]
I'm sorry.

The Philosopher's Stone... [A pause.] So, you do have it in your possession, then.

Yes. And I will be personally assuring that no one else can fall to its thrall. I won't allow anyone to get hurt by this stone again.
[ She's still clearly upset, but a steely determination has taken over her voice. This is something she has dedicated a significant portion of her life to; she can stop this. She will stop this. ]

[A long pause.]
How do you plan on doing that? [See? He's much more agreeable when people cooperate.]

My employees? Yes, that's why I hired them, though they did this one, uh, pro-bono. Well, these three. My other employee, Angus, isn't but I'm... I'm glad he missed this one.
[ She puts a hand to her chest, just below her collarbone and her silver bracer on that wrist glints as she does so. ]
I'm not going to let them take care of it though, gods no.

You understand my reservation about giving you the benefit of the doubt, so I'll just say this: if anything ever like this happens again, and I suspect any of you, I'll make sure you all pay for that negligence.
Until then, I suggest you let me know if you have any trouble keeping it out of idle hands. I have the resources.
