So what is it with your people? Your obsession with the business of others, but most troubling- the misguided idea that love is something romantic or sexual in nature if it is not familial. If your friendships are not love then what is the point of having them?

And furthermore, why is it that one cannot be possessive over their friend without having ulterior motives? How simplified has interaction become if that's all it can be... And yet you all act as if I'm the 'underdeveloped' one, for coming from a time in which we wear plate armor. It's sad, really.

I ask because I have yet to meet someone who has not mistaken my feelings for my retainer for something romantic. It is not, but I truly love him beyond mere friendship or familial ties.
