Nearly two years ago, an Import by the name of Kanaya came up with the idea of forming a group for nonhuman imPorts to meet. There is quite a number of us, big enough that we feel a bit lost in this human world at times, and Kanaya believed that socializing among ourselves could be benificial for us to live better since we experince this world in a much different way than most humans.

[ he knows that very well. To this day Kaneki doesn't do a lot of things he normally would do among his kind. ]

I do agree with her, and I do miss these meetings and talking to others. So I wish to bring that back. I can offer my coffee shop for us to meet, and of course offer food, drinks and snacks, even to those who have special dietary needs. [ that's what his coffee shop does, of course. He provides "exotic" foods. ] I just need to hear from you about what you think, if you have any opinion or ideas about this.

Some of you know me, those who don't: I'm Ken Kaneki, and I'm a half-ghoul. I don't consider myself human anymore, but I was born a human and turned into a ghoul by someone. I've been here for nearly four years, I run a coffee shop that focus on special diets for imPorts but also offers human japanese food, and... that's all, I think. [ he trails off, smiling a little ]

I do hope to see this moving forward once more. We used to meet once a month, but we can change that, I'd like to see who is interested in this, first.

I'd be interested. You wouldn't need to prepare any food for me, either. I've never really had a group of other people who weren't human to talk to...

There are plenty non-humans around, but we don't often speak of it.

[It's the "human turned into something" aspect that catches his attention. Brandon's face is more or less emotionless, and he's slow to speak (not that that's unusual), but the trace of feeling in his voice is curiosity.]

Ghouls are- not the supernatural ghost most know about. [ yeah, he has heard of that many times ]

It's a humanoid species that lives alongside and in secret with humans. No one really knows how ghouls came to be, but the two species are very close to one another.

Oh, I had no intention. A support group for people who have something not in common? Why not have non-fish and non-kangaroo meetings while we're at it? Very helpful.

Sure! That sounds like fun. I'd love to go. Did you know back home, some humans formed a group like that, only it was for alien abductees?

[He pauses, thinking about that, and the realization slowly dawns on him that they literally formed a support group to deal with what he'd done. And a few other aliens, of course.]

No, it was a pretty small group. And they do forget what happens. But...sometimes they remember little bits and pieces, and try to get together with other people with bits and pieces to try and put them together into a larger whole.

[ Lumping all non-humans together is silly, of course, but he can fully sympathize with the sentiment. Even if he himself is coping fine with the inescapable human-ness of everything here (not only accustom to it, but... undeniably fond of it), he gets it.

It can be a really very obnoxious species sometimes. Oftentimes.

And mainly, he's curious what other sorts of imPorts are running around here. ]

Oh, well, if you've got snacks... [ Who could refuse. ]

What size were these meetings before?

[ don't get him wrong, kaneki's best friends are humans, his lover too. But even then sometimes he just need to feel more like a ghoul which is hard when he is surrounded by humans in first place.

What sort of snacks do you prefer? I can get most. About 10, maybe 15 people? I can't say they were huge.
