So the day has worn on...and on. And the sky shows no sign of incoming terrors from where I'm standing. Will this be one of those long lapses I've heard tell of?

Whatever was done was enough, friends and imPorts. I'm grateful to those who found a way...

Forgive me. I wish to ask of things touched upon again and again -- much more than the span of days we've just endured. I've already read so much about the past here that I may go cross-eyed to scour any further, and...and there's...something to be said of hearing truths from first-hand sources.

Should you be willing, please tell me: how long did it take you to know for certain your friend or loved one has left-- returned, as it were. What did you do? How many days did it take you to find it in you to be certain?

...How did you know they had forgotten, too? All of this, good and ill. [with an empty laugh in her voice:] There's a lot to be said about fools who believe anything in life is certain, of course, but all the same... A fool like me can at least do her part to ask.

What? Of course not! It's totally normal to worry, even after a couple of days. Besides, I know he's really important to you.

O-of course. Forgive me, I only... [hrmhhhh.] I may be still new to losing friends by way of a fickle machine, but...not new to losing them for good. Different stakes, but... [similar feelings.]

[ He pauses. Does he really want to ask his question? Will Lucina want to answer it?

He's got to try; if the answer is yes, he doesn't want her to deal with it alone. ]

Sometimes it's both. Is... is this one of those times?

Gods, I--I hope not! I...[ha! hahaha...ha... this is my anxious and feeble laugh.] No. No, he...he said we make it. Both of us. We make it to the past to fight together. Years ago for him, but...

[can you tell she hates trying to piece it all together aloud? because she does. it's kind of breaking her heart.]

But he won't...remember this.

Good. Good. I know it seems small now, but knowing that you guys both make it out, it's - it means something. There's always gonna be a connection between you two then, no matter what.

[ Memories or not, they'll still have each other. They're family, after all. ]

You guys really got a lot closer during your time here, huh?

[fauxmarth]

[a small mm-hm sound, and then a gulp. hey guess what: crying on a phone isn't exactly the best feeling, and she kind of hates this, too.

after an exhale:] I should go. Have another look around and...clear my head.
