So what exactly is it that you intend to do with the limb itself? You say it's to see if there is any way to improve the native healing, I still don't understand why you would need a limb for that though. Samples are easier to keep alive and fresh rather than allowing mass amounts of tissue from dying.

The one part I can understand would be the fascination in observing limb regrowth.
