[Vague spoilers for Pacific Rim Uprising? Nothing most of the teasers haven't told you already.
The Newton Geiszler that greets you all looks a bit older than the one (very few) people may remember from before.
Gone are the unpressed dress shirts, rolled-up sleeves, and hipster glasses. He's not wearing glasses at all, in fact. He's dressed in a tailored suit that is obnoxiously trendy, ostentatious, and screams "sell-out," "try-hard," and moderately "corporate." Maybe it's a rockstar's version of such. He looks like he's probably used the phrase "I'll have my people call your people" unironically.
What. A. Tool.
He slides in with a smirk like he thinks he's hot stuff--and then it falters, slightly manic, slightly unsure, like an actor who has just been told the camera has gone Live. Newt rubs his hands together and his expression settles back into baseline. His voice, though kept moderate for him, is notable for its shrillness and tendency to modulate in volume and pitch midword.]
Hey~ So, hi. [Vaguely finger-guns.] Doctor Newton Geiszler. I'm head of Research and Development for a thing known as Shao Industries back home and--leeeeettle bit of background on that: we're a global tech firm, yeah, we're pioneering some pretty amazing mech--but I've also got multiple doctorates and a background in biotech and xeno-biology and frankly I don't want to be in academia so, if you're a CEO and you're interested--gimme a call. I'll send you up a CV.
[He picks up a can of Behemoth Energy Drink from off screen and takes a sip, label on the drink clearly visible. Is it intentional? Is it casual? Who knows. Then, a thought occurs to him and he adds:]
Also, who can hook me up with a good bar in Nonah? A guy's got to celebrate his return, right?
[His smirk should be accompanied by a wink at the camera. It seems like the kind of tacky, cliched thing someone like this would do. He doesn't. Instead, expression fading, he looks down into the bright blue liquid of his carbonated drink and then closes the feed.]

I might. Depends on who's buying. I don't have a lab here to assemble it, YET, so... that'd have to be part of the deal.
Unless you just mean the blueprints, in which case, no.
Can you give me more details on what you can create?

Welcome back, Newton-san. [ kaneki is always glad to see old faces ]

Anyway, don't be like that. You know it's 'Newt,' not this 'Newton-san' stuff.

How have you been, Newt?

Welcome back, if you've been here before. [There's really no way to make this response look more casual, but hey, he tried.] What sort of work does your company do?
Video
Dont really recognize the face, but thanks.
We do mostly government contracting as of late.

Oh, no, I just arrived in March. It just seemed like the polite thing to say.
Are you hoping to do that here?

I wouldn't necessarily say "a lot" happened. I got a new job--obviously [He's popping his collar.]--and Hermann stayed with the PPDC [There's a hint of an eyeroll in that expression.] and well, here we are.
