What do you do if you have a power that could really help people, but—but it could really hurt people, too? And to help someone it means you have to hurt someone else, or hurt yourself? What are you supposed to do about that? What if people are asking you to help them but it means you have to screw someone else over to do it?

Those are some really tough questions. Sounds like you got some messed up choices to make around your powers. I'm sorry about that. I think you're supposed to figure out what you can live with.

You know, you're not obligated to help anyone. And if you do decide to help, there's more than one way to help. You could ask other imports. There might be someone here who can help those people without anyone getting hurt.

Personally, I'd just help the people I wanted to help, and hurt people I wanted to hurt, but that's just me. You should do what you want, and ignore people telling you what to do with your power.

Know your own limits. Tell people to find someone else if they're asking too much.

Learn to control it. [ that's seriously the best answer for any kind of power. ] So that when you decide you have to use it, you're not flying blind.

But whether or not you use your ability, that's your call. You have to decide when you think it's worth it. Nobody else can do that for you.

(( It's one thing to have a kid do things no kid should do, it's because he's got no choice. It's another for adults to ask them. Man, that's really annoying. ))

If it were me in your shoes, I would tell them that if they want whoever it is helped, they need to understand that they will get hurt during whatever it is you do. I wouldn't let some random stranger get hurt because some other stranger wants you too just so another stranger gets better. Who are these people to ask me this, I didn't want it.

But then again, I'm not that moral of a person, and just wouldn't do it at all.
