Alex is far from a master of technology, but she's at least managed to set the network device up steadily enough to cover the table she's sitting at. The table and the many, many bottles of beer that are sitting with her. The leader of the Third Street Saints is holding it mostly together, with only the occasional slur slipping into her dialogue. Occasionally she half-leers at something offscreen.

Classy.

"SO...apparently just being here once wasn't enough for everyone. I was just such a fuckin' DELIGHT that they had to bring me back for a second round. And it was SO IMPORTANT to bring me back that it didn't matter I was hunting down the fuck that killed my best friend. Nah, pfft, like that matters. It's waaaaaaaay more important I come back to fuckin' nuke-ville and the midnight raids."

The red-head pauses for a moment, and looks about.

"Need a napkin or somethin', that's a great fuckin' name."

A pen and napkin don't present themselves so Alex just sighs deeply and looks back into the camera. "So I'm toasting to the occasion! And you guys should come and fuckin' join me. Come have a beer or four, and tell me all about what makes this place so GODDAMN WONDERFUL. Who knows? Maybe you'll get lucky."

The exaggerated wink to camera has no subtlety and even less innuendo.

[She has enough sense not to say anything positive about being an import.]

[Alex pauses with a beer halfway to her lips, the rest of Abigail's words seeming to make it through her haze.]

...ah. 'm sorry. About your friend. Hurts.

It does. I found out who killed her and it didn't make it hurt any less.

Here, you can make friends with people and there's a chance they'll come back when you lose them.

Yeah and just as much a chance they'll get zapped away when the porter or whatever gets bored of 'em.

[Letting out a long sigh, Alex rests her forehead on the table]

Plus here we get nuked and there's fuck all we can do about it.

That's life. There's always loss.

[She shrugs.]

We can come back. If I get sent home, I'll just be dead and never come back. It's not under our control here, but at least it's possible to have another chance here.

Preach it sister. [Life pretty much does equal loss, she can't argue that one.]

You died back home?...wow. What happened?

[She looks down and touches her scarf.]

It happens. The Porter has the tendency to send us back and forth.

Ken! Kenny! Ken...guy. [Alex's brain just gave up midway through trying to find the third one of those.]

Glad to hear it. Yer beau ever end up coming back? [She knows the answer really, but can't help but fish for some good news. She does lay her head down on the table though, face hidden in a curtain of red hair.]

...A ticket home? The ability to fly and shoot lasers out of my hands? A gun big enough to shoot down nukes? My crew here with me?

[A pause, then a quieter request.]

The date. I dunno how long I was gone.

Yeah, he did. A rare occurrence. [ sadly it's rare, but at least D33 returned, and kaneki is quite happy about it ]

It's nearly June. It looks like you missed a month.
