[Isaac clears his throat before he actually speaks.]

So...today was June 6th. That makes two birthdays here. [He's quiet for a moment, almost as though he's surprised himself that he actually paid attention to the days.] I...uh...time went by really fast. I guess, with all the crazy stuff that's been happening, it makes sense I lost track of it.

[He's quiet for another moment before he clears his throat again.]

Anyway, that means I've been here a little over a year, and the place hasn't... [He trails off. There is literally no reason to show everyone you're the crazy guy, Isaac.] ...it's been really nice, actually. A little...antique, but nice.

[Another pause. He's not very good at one-sided conversations.]

So, I was wondering, for those of you who've been here a while, too, and maybe come from places that, well, from pretty bad situations, have you put any thought into...your future? Here, I mean? What did you come up with?

Uh...well, I've been to some good expos, back home. I miss the era. This place just doesn't have good robotics, or the types of advancements in plasmatic application or kinesis that home does.

They're not really hobbies. I'm a systems engineer back home. I was responsible for the repair and maintenance on those drives and equipment for a mining company, usually on extra-solar missions.

I...sort of? I break things down and see what I can make the parts, sometimes. Is that even a hobby?

Uh, both, I guess. I like seeing what I can make with the parts I've got.

I built a plasma chain saw by re-purposing parts from a few different mining tools once.

[He might actually realize how much of a nerd he is. Maybe.]

Uh, no. I didn't. I don't have the parts for a plasma cutter here.

[At least not that I'm willing to take apart. That's my trusty plasma cutter, man. I kill evil zombies with it.]

considering the variety of people here is it so odd i asked if it was motorized?

the toys that people bring here can beb so interesting, and even still, not as interesting as the skills and powers they weild.

Some of the people here who have powers didn't come with them. They got them when they arrived.
