[ it's been a fun couple of days, Bodhi is sporting a literal black eye and concussion after the protests (thank u Hux) which is why he's opting for voice on this. there's a moment of silence, yip of a dog and the owner talking to the animal briefly, unintelligibly. ]

I'm not sure if this is something worth celebrating or if I should ignore it completely, because I didn't think I'd be here this long, but... it's been a year for me, now.

By party do you mean half the city or a few close friends? [ only the later of which sounds appealing right now. ]

[ Bodhi grins, obviously pleased by the answer. He starts to nod but halfway through decides that's not a good idea. ] Alright, that we can do. Maybe dinner, some cake.

I think saying "happy first anniversary" is acceptable to say, right?

You could throw a party or go somewhere? Honestly, you can do anything you want.

It's acceptable, yes. Thanks. Though, I don't think I'm up for either of those things right now. Was thinking of something... smaller. [ less effort, less people. ]

Yeah, there's some good bakeries you could order from or you could try and make one?

I didn't do much myself. I reached my 14th birthday and that felt a lot more like something to celebrate.

I imagine it'd defend on the person. [ some depressing stuff about not having anything to go home to here ]

It's a good reason to celebrate. When was your birthday?

Uh-huh. Some people would like it, some people would be depressed by it. It was a little bit of both for me, once I realized.

In March. I won my horse that day, so it was the best birthday ever.

I didn't do anything. I barely even noticed, actually, but if I did it wouldn't have occurred to me to celebrate it. But, I mean...any reason for partying's a good one if that's what you want to do, right?

Guess it would depend on how you feel about being here, but for me it's better than anything back home.

It's better here for me, too. Although there are some things I have to take care of back home. I guess I'm just not sure how to feel about it, since I know I could be sent home any minute.

Thank you. I know, it's ... unfortunate, what's happening right now. I had hope that the protests would go smoother, but... [ sighs. ]

I still don't think I'd trade it.

I have been here four years. Almost. I never celebrated it or thought much about it, honestly. It feels weird, but maybe that's just me.

Well, it's got the good and bad, but ... I don't a have a home, and if I go back to my own world, I'm dead. So, yeah - guess I am.

I can't quite explain it. It's strange. But I will have to return eventually, so I'm still enjoying what I can.
