HAVE A LITTLE FORCE-SIGHT

PRESS RELEASE FROM AEGIS FORCE: This is an Emergency Warning. Large-scale metahuman incidents are confirmed to be taking place in Heropa, Nonah, De Chima, and Maurtia Falls. Individuals claiming to be Gods are disrupting all four cities, and have demonstrated superhuman powers and the ability to influence others through song. HIGH-PRIORITY incidents are taking place in Maurtia Falls, which is in URGENT need of assistance due to a city-wide blackout, flooding resulting from damage to the canal system, and widespread civil unrest. A wave of exceptionally violent crime has also been reported in De Chima and Maurtia Falls. Finally, mysterious tremors are being registered in Nonah and Heropa.
Aegis Force is deploying in response to this crisis. All available ImPort heroes are called upon to assist with this emergency. Heroes are urged to use the minimum necessary force to subdue individuals affected by this event, who may not be responsible for their own actions. Exercise caution when confronting the Gods, and be advised that not all divine imPorts are involved in these crimes. Anyone with information regarding this event or who is in need of aid is asked to contact Aegis Force. Citizens in the affected areas are urged to stay indoors, monitor emergency channels for further updates, and avoid contact with individuals claiming to be deities.
Aegis is also asking citizens for any TIPS that could aid the investigation into the 'Shimmer' disaster that took an estimated six hundred lives in De Chima last month. Available evidence gathered by the imPort heroes who dispelled the Shimmer implicates the Otherworld Technologies Organization (OTO) in creating the Shimmer, acting with the aid of a supernatural entity known as Atropos. Anyone with information on the Shimmer, OTO, or Atropos is asked to come forward and help reveal the truth about this tragedy.

True tragedy erupted from the Shimmering Event, which is as of yet explained. The US Secretary of Defense is reaching out to the imPort community for any insight into this lethal and traumatic event, relying heavily on their collective abilities. Few had any time to mourn their dead before a new wave of chaos erupted, so governmental investigation has taken a freeze until it is once more safe. It's all in imPort hands now.
And Aegis Force is leading the way.

"Maurtia Falls is still recovering from the recent floods and power outages that plagued the city.
For the first time in the history of the city, the Canals flooded the streets and, combined with a simultaneous power outage, sent Maurtia Falls into absolute chaos. imPorts rallied to the rescue of citizens, including such notable heroes as Izuki Midoriya, Silver, and Jacob Taylor. Their efforts in both helping the canal workers and Maurtia Falls Power Company were noted as being "helpful".
Other so-called heroes are being frowned upon for their actions- Persephone is credited with the massive damage to the city streets that has opened up a gigantic sinkhole straight to the underground caverns. Citizens should be on guard in case any sinkholes start to open up as the flood waters continue to settle.
We have also reached out to Dr. Frederick Chilton, whose hospital has been a known refuge for imPorts and natives alike during times of crisis, for why his doors remained closed when citizens were seeking refuge. He had this to say:
"We had been attacked -- by Apep, of that so-called new pantheon. It was nothing short of a brutal affair."
The Maurtia Falls Police Department is currently searching for information regarding the possible saboteur, AKA “Apep”. If you have any information regarding the sabotage of the power grid and canal system, or know anyone matching the police sketch of the suspect, please contact the police department."
COME ONE, COME ALKE

In response to the protests that happened back in July, imPorts involved in Project Alke - a mission that aims to reach Mars - have finally come forward and are issuing a public statement to clear up recent confusion and misinformation.
Project Alke is an unarmed exploration mission launched by imPort heroes for the purpose of protecting Earth and advancing science, which has been approved by the government. Recent threats to Earth from space, such as the satellites earlier this year, lead back to Mars and thus this reconnaissance mission is necessary as well. Alke's unarmed spacecraft will fly to Mars to uncover the truth, and they appeal to the citizens of Earth for their support in this vital mission. [ Pictures of a red spacecraft being built ]
Hoping to promote transparency, Project Alke has set a press conference to answer questions and concerns the population might have, welcoming experts to see the project for themselves and draw their own conclusions. Government officials and NASA have received the same invitation. A spokesman for the project, Noctis Lucis Caelum, issued the following statement: "Much of the response we've received so far is because we have allowed the impression that we as imPorts stand above the people of this world. That is our mistake. If this project is to succeed, we must all instead stand together, shoulder to shoulder, for a common goal. For that reason, we are inviting members of NASA and civilian experts to our labs, in hopes that we can spread information about the project and foster partnerships that will benefit everyone."
As further proof this is in fact a peaceful project, imPort Journalist Iris West will keep her blog Central Citizen constantly updated with news and information on this project, but others are welcome to do the same. Ambassador Galla will address her fellow imPorts, keeping a connection between them, this project, and government officials. She has stated that she is "eager to facilitate and maintain an open exchange of information related to the project's progress and, ultimately, its findings."
Aegis Force, a government-funded imPort-led peacekeeping team, has also shown support and its founder, Jacob Taylor, is in fact deeply involved. When asked for comment, Taylor stated that “I’m proud to be working with imPort heroes to help protect our homes. We’re doing amazing things here, and the good people of Earth have nothing to fear from this project.”
The project has also received an official statement of support from the Sentient Life Fund, or SELF, a nonprofit organization that assists the non-human population. "Both imPorts and Natives alike have much to gain from such an alliance," Director Kang wrote. "It is my sincere hope that NASA will accept our invitation, and turn this into a joint scientific mission as well. The knowledge that can be obtained from field studies is priceless."

With the unexpected exportation of Ambassador Amidala, the imPort city of Maurtia Falls is in dire need of leadership. The city council has decided that this round of elections will be a little different: an Ambassador will be chosen by merit of the most votes, as per usual, but a DEPUTY AMBASSADOR will now be SITUATED INTO OFFICE to assist the Ambassador and take over if the Ambassador exports or dies. The Deputy Ambassador is whomever wins the second most votes.
Voting will take place on September 4th. Campaigning may begin immediately.
